If you're looking for assisted living for yourself or a loved one you should definitely check out Chelmsford Crossings. Mom loves it there. Between the room, staff, food, and friends she has made she's very happy. I love how friendly everyone there is. You should also check out the activities, transportation, and how clean everything is.

Benchmark Senior Living at Chelmsford Crossings was clean, well-kept, and updated. You are greeted as soon as you walk in. The living spaces were a bit larger and were laid out better, but also a little bit more expensive. The person who gave the tour was really nice, very forthcoming, and very easy to talk to. He answered all my questions. I went right around lunchtime, so they were finishing up lunch and they were about to have balloon volleyball. One thing I really liked about them was they had more common areas where people could go to cook their own meals if they wanted to. They had a full-size country kitchen where anybody could go use it, which is really neat. They also had a resident laundry room. So, you could do things by yourself, if you wanted to.

I've chosen Benchmark Senior Living at Chelmsford Crossings for my cousin. It's very nice. The physical community was clean and bright, and everywhere the hallways were substantially white and light and one of the things that sold me on it was the single room type apartments. They call them studio apartments, it had a foyer also, which made the room much larger. So it was very pleasant, and the common areas were very nice looking, people were using them. And everybody seemed happy where they were. I thought it was a very good job and the price wasn't overbearing. The people I met were very good.

My significant other is in Benchmark Senior Living at Chelmsford Crossings and he is going to be discharged probably this week sometime. He has been very well. He had a very good experience there. He was in for respite after a broken hip, and he has made very good progress and he is going to be coming home now. I would give it an A-plus. It's the best, and they don't get much better. It checks all the boxes. They're wonderful. The staff is wonderful. The facility is wonderful. The food is wonderful. This is like the Cadillac, this is the gold standard, it's what you would want for this type of a place to go to. They have all kinds of services, the meals, the washes, and the housekeeping. It's a full-service community. My cousin is also there. She loves it. I have not heard of anyone that's been there that has not just loved it. This is what you look for in a facility. Now, all facilities are going to be expensive, but I don't think it's any more expensive than anything else. It's a very, very A-plus place. They couldn't be better on all levels. It's beautiful, it's immaculate, and the staff is the best you could get. The food is delicious. Care is fantastic. The homes are lovely. The lighting is beautiful. You have wonderful windows and views. There is nothing to be said negatively about it. It's all wonderful. They have good activities. They're very good about that. They have a schedule every day. They do things with the residents, and they make it fun. They're very caring and they include everyone. It's wonderful. It's expensive, no matter where you go, you're going to pay for that kind of care and that kind of facility, it's definitely within the realm of what they're charging. It's not excessively expensive. They're not charging more for this quality. I think it's right in the cost average, but they do a wonderful job.

My uncle just moved into Benchmark Senior Living at Chelmsford Crossings. They have a very friendly staff, and they answered all of our questions. We had a lengthy list of questions and concerns and they worked with our family to help us make that decision and choice. They were just very, very accommodating and very understanding, and helpful with some obstacles that we had encountered along the way. We felt very supported. The room was adequate, just a little dated and a little shopworn. The facility was clean and well maintained. I didn't have any complaints about it. I wouldn't have a problem living there myself. They offer transportation to medical appointments, to local religious services, and things like that. He's only been there since Thursday. Everything that they are offering seems adequate for the needs of my uncle. We've had a couple of bumps in the process of getting in and for them to get to know him but that's to be expected. I don't have any complaints. We were provided with lunch on the day of his arrival and the food was excellent.

We visited Benchmark Senior Living at Chelmsford Crossings. It was right up there too, it was excellent. The rooms, they weren't apartments; they were just studios. They didn't have a full kitchen because they kind of encourage people to go down for their meals. It doesn't have a stove; it just has a mini-fridge and a microwave for the same cost. The staff was excellent, the people that we talked to there. It just had a different feel to it. We talked to residents, and they weren't engaging. I think people were on a little bit of a different level than what my mother is at right now. So, it was just a different feeling, more like a nursing home on some levels, not the whole thing. It is very nice inside, but it was just not where she's at right now to go in, starting at that level. The services that you get there, you have to pay extra per day. The utilities are included, but your phone wasn't, and your cable TV. I would have to say I wouldn't hesitate to have someone go there, it's just not where my mother is right now. It was a clean place; it seemed like it was run very well. But we just liked the other one better. Their staff, Kimberly, she's very outgoing, very friendly, and very informative. She seems to like what she does, and cares about the place. She hit all the marks. She did everything right. The room that they showed us was facing out to the woods, which I liked. But I guess, if you were on the other side, there's a parking lot. This one is like more in a downtown type of area, not downtown, but there's more going on right there. It's a smaller place, too, so that makes a difference; but it was very clean inside, and it was nice.

I toured Benchmark Senior Living at Chelmsford Crossings. It was great, it was a nice facility, it was a wonderful visit. Sheila did the tour, and she was very nice. My only concern was that it was out of our price range, and we were led to believe that it was in our price range, so we went there. That was a little frustrating. The rooms were very nice.

My aunt moved into Benchmark Senior Living at Chelmsford Crossings. It's a lovely community, it's very welcoming, very homey, the people are all caring, problem solvers, and just overall very, very not just interested, but their whole goal was to take care of the residents, and it's clearly seen when you go there as a visitor like myself. The food smelled good when I went there. The facility was lovely, they had a lot for the seniors to do, I think it's kept up well, and it feels really safe. There's a lot of value there, they're not the lowest price, but they're not the highest price either. I think the residents there are getting good quality care and good quality facilities for the money.

Benchmark at Chelmsford Crossings was lovely. The administrator was very nice. I saw people engaging with other staff members playing cards. The apartment was very nice. I couldn't find any fault with it. There was nothing we didn't like. The staff member who assisted us was excellent. She was very supportive. She took a long time with my stepmom. She was very good.

This is a lovely facility and the staff is very caring. However, there are some communication issues with the staff, i.e. requests that are ignored and excuses made. Also, when the activities coordinator is on vacation (which he frequently is) there is nothing for the residents to do. They repeat and repeat the activities day after day after day....There is no "back up" activities person to entertain the residents. Very poor planning. Also...the director is sub-par. Her background is in hospitality management and this is far from it. I understand the food is very good though.

Benchmark Senior Living at Chelmsford Crossings was very nice and well maintained. The people who worked there were very nice and very friendly. The grounds were lovely. It would have been far more convenient for us because my daughter and I live in Chelmsford.

Benchmark Senior Living at Chelmsford Crossings was a little bit smaller than other places I had visited. It was very pleasant and clean. The apartments were nice. The scenery was pretty. The facility wasn't in a location that was very nice, but it was okay.

We looked at Benchmark Senior Living at Chelmsford Crossing. It was pleasant. It seemed to be clean and well maintained, but the living quarters were small.

Benchmark is very pretty, nicely decorated, and clean, and the staff is very friendly. There are always lots of people around playing games and doing things. Obviously, we liked the place because this is where my mother is. The size of the room is about the same as the other one that I saw. My mom's been on a few field trips. There isn't a spa or restaurant; there's nothing like that. There's a dining area, but it is just a regular dining room.

It was a very positive experience. They followed up with us after we visited Chelmsford Crossings. We saw the different types of living situations and apartments, and it was much more independent. They had a living area, almost like a studio apartment, and they had a kitchen area as well. I didn't feel that it would be a good fit for my mother-in-law, but it was very clean. The dining room was lovely. There's a nice fireplace, and it was very cozy. They did a lot of off-site things where they took people to field trips, to a mall, or to a ball game. They also had card games, Canasta, and things that that generation were most interested in doing. They should have a sample of the food available during the tour, so that you could see what the residents are being served.

I visited Chelmsford Crossings. It was very nice. It’s conveniently located very near some major highways, so the access is very convenient for people coming from different places. There is shopping nearby, but it wouldn’t be really pleasant to walk anywhere from the facility because the road is quite busy. There is a sidewalk and there are some shopping malls down the way. It’s a more urban environment but it was very nice. The apartments were pleasant. There was a little kitchenette. It was just a microwave and a fridge in each apartment. There were 3 floors and two of the floors had a common kitchen, so that if someone wanted to do some of their own cooking or if they had family visiting who wanted to make a meal together, they could use that common kitchen to do some cooking in addition to meals being available in the dining room, so that was a rather nice feature. There was a very nice, little patio that people could sit out on, and there are nice gardens. They had lots of activities and the people were nice. Relative to what I was looking for, it was very nice.

Mom lived at Chelmsford Crossings for almost a month, but unfortunately her memory issue was a little bit too much for them to handle, so she couldn’t stay there. We generally like the facility. The rooms were really nice. The activities were fine; she attended crafts and exercise classes. It’s all very good.

My 87 year old mother spent 30 days at this facility as part of her rehabilitation from a broken hip. It provided an excellent transition between the hospital and her return home. The staff is very large and friendly and the supervision is thorough. There are more than a dozen activities each day for the residents in a wide variety of areas. My mother made numerous friends during her short stay and was made to feel very welcome. Fortunately, my mother has regained enough independence to return home. However, should the need arise in the future, both she and I would welcome the opportunity to return.

Chelmsford Crossings seemed very nice. The amenities and the people seemed nice also. I thought the staff was pretty impressive. I know they had a lot of activities, but I don't remember which ones. I walked through the dining room, but I didn't stay for lunch, and the room was very pleasant. The rooms seemed to be on the small side, but I think they might have been bigger than I thought.

We need someone to look after my elderly father for about a week and most places don't offer that. However, Chelmsford Crossings has that. It was located conveniently for us. It was closer and in a better location than most of other places. Everything was great and wonderful in this facility. It was also very clean. I saw one efficiency room and it was very nice. It was furnished very nicely. It had all the amenities that anybody would need.

Chelmsford Crossing was an exceptional assisted living facility. It was everything we were looking for in a placement for our loved one. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful. Everything about it seems to be finely decorated and carefully placed to make the atmosphere homey and welcoming. The entire main common area seemed fresh and updated, and we saw many residents sitting in smaller groups and enjoying company. We also were able to see the guests enjoy a piano entertainer while we were there, which seemed very popular with upbeat music and folks joining in to the songs. The individual residence units were spacious, with large windows providing lots of light. The dining room was well appointed and the meal we enjoyed during our visit was definitely above what we had experienced from other assisted living facilities. The staff was attentive and available to answer all of our questions, and took special care in making us feel well-taken care of during our visit. All in all, Chelmsford Crossing was really a step-above the other assisted living facilities in the area and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing assisted living in the Merrimack Valley.

As far as care and the overall experience of the facility, we could not be happier with the care my great grandmother received. She was mostly self sufficient, but needed help in things like socializing, remembering to take medication and just general personal care, safety, and security. The staff was mostly friendly, always willing to make conversation and taking good care of the residents. It felt more like a home than a "facility" that offered assisted living. There was always adequate medical staff, and dedicated staff on hand to help my great-grandmother with whatever she needed, ample day trips, crafts, activities (bingo, aerobic classes, movie nights, family nights etc), and grounds to just relax at. The one negative aspect of the facility was moving in and out of it, the staff was unclear as to what the procedures/rules were and it was hard to meet the guidelines of things (since we'd never done anything like move someone into assisted living before) it caused some issues, at first, with residents. Overall, I would recommend Chelmsford Crossing in chelmsford to anyone in the area considering an assisted living facility.

The staff at Chelmsford Crossings is excellent....very caring, and most of very reliable and competent. The food is very good; the atmosphere is most welcoming; this is a place where "everyone knows your name".

I have indirect experience with Chelmsford Crossings. My grandmother was a resident there for 2 years and lived in both a single room and eventually lived with a roommate. They provided laundry services and medication reminders as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the residents. The people who came into my grandmother's room to give her the daily medications she needed were always very cheery and seemed to care for each of the residents. When you walk in you are greeted by a secretary who is also very cheery and directs you to sign into the building. Other than that you can pretty much do whatever you want with the resident you are visiting. They have a TV room, some outside areas, a game room, and a calendar for each month that has daily activities such as trips to Walmart or finger nail painting. Chelmsford Crossings is a great place.
