My mother moved into The Suites at Algiers Point. We're very satisfied. We've only been here for about a week. The staff is very attentive, and they respond quickly. My mother said the food is very good. The apartment was freshly painted when we moved in. It is large and it's accessible. The thing that I like is the bathroom, which is a handicapped-accessible bathroom. It's huge. Yesterday they were taking a walk to the lobby and they came to get her to do that. Now they do board games and stuff every day, but my mom's not a board game player. This is expensive, but they provide everything you need.

I visited The Suites at Algiers Point. It seemed very nice, and they were very friendly. It looked clean. I don't think it would be good for my mother, because she would want direct access to more independent living. They have more of a communal feeling. They had a nice dining room, and I saw people interacting.

I'm currently in The Suites at Algiers Point. It's not satisfactory, but it's not exactly good. Their food is very bad, low quality, and poorly prepared. I live in one of the largest suites they have here, and that's very good. I don't know about the other rooms, but my accommodations are very good. The elevator is working. The staff members sometimes don't do what they're supposed to do. There are a lot of activities, but I really don't understand because they are geared to mostly people with dementia. The dining room is very good. I have a large suite and my wife was with me. We lived in the suite, and I just kept it when she passed away. My accommodations are very good, but you pay for what's very good.

We toured The Suites at Algiers Point. From the outside, it appeared to be a small place, but once you go in, it's a really big place. They have four or five buildings. Everything is wheelchair accessible. The hallways are wide. The rooms are so quaint. They're like New Orleans style living because of the decor that they have. The staff showed us the menus and the courtyard. Before COVID, they took them to jazz bands and to the French Quarter, and it's something that a New Orleans person would want to do. My dad certainly would love to have a time like that, and that makes that an ideal place. The staff was very friendly. They seemed to me very well kept and organized.

My uncle will move into The Suites at Algiers Point. It's convenient to where I live. It also seems to be somewhat small and very well kept. It fits. I saw three rooms that were studios and I picked one of them. It's gonna work out. The bathroom is completely set for a handicapped person, and it seemed good. When I went there, people were dining in their rooms, so the dining area was not being used at all. They weren't really doing too many activities because they didn't want people coming in. Everything is restricted right now. There's a recreation area, a yard or a big patio in the back, and a chapel. It's very nice. The staff is very nice. I couldn't really go through much of the building because it is really restricted. I was there on a tour, but the tour was somewhat limited.

It was bright and open. The staff seemed very friendly and very knowledgeable. The apartments were a little small, which is what I didn’t like about it, but otherwise, I thought they were nice. They would be my second choice if I can’t get in my first choice. They had a chapel and a library and an average dining room.

It has a little chapel, and you can go to Mass every day. There is a little garden that you can sit in. They have dogs that wander around the place. The building that I was shown has its own air conditioning unit, and you can bring your own bed. It is a quiet neighborhood. There is a bus that takes you to your doctor’s appointment or to shopping.

Very cheery surroundings and people that are caring and most helpful with any questions you may have. My mother is now a resident and loves it. There has been tremendous improvement in her physical health as well as her attitude and peace of mind.
