Honeysuckle Senior Living was pleasant. It's nice and clean. The staff was friendly and seemed great. I never got to go and visit the rooms. I got to go into the areas of the kitchen, the family rooms, and the living centers, and it seemed very nice. The dining area was clean.

The upside is the staff. The downside is the food (yuck), activities or lack of them. The price is high for the level of service and care rendered.

Honeysuckle Senior Living was clean, quiet, and Laurie was the one who gave us the tour. It was a nice place. I liked their garden area and it was really pretty. The dining area was open to the rest of the house, there were people playing cards at the table, and there were some people watching TV. Laurie was very friendly, answered our questions, and I liked her. We liked that it was clean, quiet, and wasn't fast-paced because my mother-in-law didn't want people speeding around or, you know, making her rush. It was just laid back and it felt homey.

I visited Honeysuckle Senior Living, and they were very friendly, helpful, and reassuring. It's a very warm and homey type of place. The manager showed us around what was available; the places that my father could go and would be dining and things like that. She was the only person that we spoke with. The rooms were very well laid out, clean, and very disabled-friendly. They have basic transportation services to appointments. They do crafts, games, and there is live music that comes in. There's a hair salon, but it's all on a very small, more intimate level facility. It's not huge at all and that's what we really liked about it. It is very relaxed and homey feeling.

My mom is at Honeysuckle Senior Living. It is very cute, neat, clean, and all of the staff seemed very friendly and very accessible to my mom. I think it is a great place so far. She likes bingo, and they had someone leading hymnal singing, and she enjoys that kind of stuff. She likes the food too. She can either dine in the dining area or they can bring her food to her if she wants to stay in her room. The place is very clean. She left a facility that had two storys, and that one was just a bit too much for her. She is now in a one story building, and she really likes that.

Honeysuckle is pretty small. Everybody is housed in the same building and shares the same common areas, like the dining room. So there were people who needed assisted living, and also people needing memory care in one building. The staff is awesome, I really like them. They have a really nice layout, the rooms are all around the outside of the building, and then the common areas are in the middle. Plus, it's all in one level, so it would be great for memory care or assisted living because nothing is a far walk. The center of the community is the courtyard area, so wherever you are you have easy access to the nice outside landscaped area, and there's no problem getting lost. I think that part is really nice. The rooms were especially nice. They were larger than the rooms in the other communities we visited. They have a separate living room, a little bit of a kitchen area, and separate bedroom and bathroom area. Their dining area was also nice. It was set up with a bunch of tables and is a nice area for all the residents to go down and eat. It has a homey and family type of feel to it. The chef there used to work at a five-star restaurant for many years. This community is actually one of our final two choices, and the staff member that showed us around and the other staff members were all great. They knew all the residents' names so that was impressive.

Sylvan House was close to where my mother used to live, so that is why she wanted to go there. The staff were very good. They had all kinds of activities there. They had movie nights and they also went on walks, played games, listened to music, and they had someone playing the piano in the evenings and stuff like that. The food was okay. She had a really nice room. They didn't have any transportation that took them places -- that would be my only complaint.
