About This Community

At Garnet Place, our senior living community, we develop individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident, and a full-time registered nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care. We welcome pets and help our residents thrive by offering a variety of activities, such as tai chi, exercise classes, card and board games, bingo, newspaper social, manicures, arts and crafts, and movie and popcorn nights. We also go on shopping, dining, and entertainment outings, as well as visits to other assisted living communities to participate in their activities. Schedule a visit to learn more about our Garden City assisted living community, just minutes from the center of Boise.

We liked Garnet Place and we almost put my mother-in-law there. It was very homey, it had a little patio to the room. The staff appeared to be very qualified and kind, and the residents seemed happy. They were very thorough and answered lots of questions, the employees there looked very happy. The facility was clean and updated, and it was located close to restaurants and close enough to hospitals.

Garnet Place was very nice, but it wasn't a good fit for my husband because it's an assisted living, not skilled nursing. The community was lovely and the people were lovely. It just wasn't the type of place that my husband needs. The staff showed me a studio and a one-bedroom. It was a waitlist for a one-bedroom, and the studio wouldn't have been appropriate for him. We had to furnish it ourselves, and it wasn't a good fit. Breakfast was included. There was a small library and a community room where they had puzzles and such games. I didn't meet any of the staff except the lady that did the tour. The building was lovely.

We went to Garnet Place. The lady that was showing us around really didn't know much. She didn't know anything about the financing. The rooms were small. I saw not one patient out participating in activities, and the staffing ratio is horrible. I didn't find the facility very clean or very nice. I absolutely would not put anybody there. They've got to have more staff to take care of these people.

I liked the smallness of Garnet Place. It was very intimate. It was during the shutdown, so we weren't able to see all of it. We were able to peek into the general areas. They kind of took us around the backway to get to one of the apartments that was available. The bedroom was the largest that we'd seen, and it was impeccably clean. I have nothing negative to say about the Garnet Place. If I were making a decision for myself at this point, I think that would be my top one. I really liked the outdoor setting and the raised gardens.

We went to Garnet Place. They had a nurse always on staff. 24/7. They help people get dressed and eat. It was more for people who really needed help, and it would probably be rated really high for that because they were well equipped to take care of people that needed medical service. The staff members were all friendly, very nice, very informative, and very pleasant. They do the best they can. It would have been close to our daughter. Everything was clean and sparkly.

Garnet Place is my mother's favorite so far because it is a small community. It is nice, and my mother appreciates its simplicity. The staff members were very nice. The residents were also very welcoming. The food was good. The dining area was very nice.

My husband was at Garnet Place for three weeks. I like the cleanliness of the whole place and the nurses were excellent. The rooms were small, but it was clean and adequate. They offer different activities like music, TV, community get together. I never ate there, but he liked the food and the dining area looked quite nice. I just had one complaint with regards to his medication because they overcharged me for his medication.
