These are condos available for sale or rent, from studio to 2 bedroom,2 bath. Very secure. Meals (great food) are optional in that you receive a dollar allowance per month in your monthly fee but can buy all you want--3 meals a day are available including delivery. Many "in home" services are available for individual needs as well as the usual bus to stores, etc, and outside events (dining, entertainment). There are a fair number of events and religious services in the building. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. An assisted living facility is attached and useful for short term needs, such as post-op, as well as extended use.

A lovely, well-maintained, assisted living home for active seniors, Mount Vernon Towers provides families with peace of mind while allowing residents to maintain a sense of autonomy. The staff, including maintenance, cooks, security, and medical personnel, is friendly, caring, knowledgable, and always willing to go the extra mile for their residents. The facility plans regular activities such as card games, bingo, bible studies, and other social gatherings throughout the week, as well as hosting various events such as piano concerts, plays, and even game-day kick-off parties. For those residents without personal transportation, Mount Vernon Towers provides weekly shuttles to the local grocery store as well as several places of worship, and trips to similar neighboring facilities.Residents who prefer to stay close to home can choose to pamper themselves at the facilities salon, located on the first floor of the main building, eat in the dining room, or swim in the pool, or visit the facilities' personal library. My Grandmother lived at Mount Vernon Towers for five years until her passing due to Ovarian Cancer. The staff of the facility's respite care wing is very patient, caring, and understanding. They allowed us to spend our precious remaining time together not worrying about meeting and maintaining her medical needs but focusing on the quality time that was left. Without them I am not sure what we would have done.
