When I visited Montclair at Clairmont Place Assisted Living, nobody was expecting me and no one seemed to be very organized with that. They finally found someone to show me around. It was the very first senior living place I had been, and to me, it was more of a nursing home atmosphere than it was assisted living. It was just one floor and locked down. They couldnt get on and off the floor without special permission and everybody there was in wheelchair. I wasnt really expecting that kind of experience.

Montclair at Clairmont Place had a library and a play area. The staff was nice. The dining and the menu were excellent. The place was clean. There was some seating areas for the residents to relax.

this place really helped me. when i found out my om was going to be put in here i was so upset. i felt so sorry she had to be there. when asked if i wanted to visit her i would always say no because i would be afraid to see her in that place. one day i went and i saw my mom for the first time since she was there. i asked her how it was and she said that they were taking good care of her and that she was happy that she was there. i was really happy that this place was avalible because it really heped my mom and me feel better.

My mother has been living her for 8 months and it has changed her life. She is happier, active, and has lots of new friends. The food is great and people upbeat. The staff organizes trips to plays, concerts and shopping. I feel like she (and I) have found the perfect place for seniors. You will not be sorry you bought a condo here. I have no financial or other interest in the development.
