Greenwood Place, our senior living community in Marietta, GA, provides quality care for all its residents. We develop individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident, and a full-time registered nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care. My tour of Greenwood Place was good. The staff were great. They only have an option of studios or two bedrooms, and there's no in-between. The building itself is very nice and all the spaces are updated. The public spaces and shared spaces are very nice, but the studio is too small for the money they charge. The staff were fine. They're very nice.

I saw assisted living at Greenwood Place. I didn't go over to the memory care part because the lady told me that the rooms in the memory care part is just the same like the rooms in the assisted living part. The place was cheery. They were decorating because they celebrate different holidays. They were getting ready to celebrate Mardi Gras, so it seemed like they have a lot of activities for the folks. Everybody has their own room there with their own bathroom with a little refrigerator.
Everything was looking very clean, and I saw the staff with some of the people that live there mulling around. The staff members seemed to know them by name. The people seemed happy and well cared for. They had a salon. It looked like it was really clean and well kept. It's close to Marietta Square where there are activities. If my aunt were to live there and there was a concert in the park, I could pick her up; it wouldn't be too far. On the main street, there are grocery stores and Marietta High School right across the street. The location is very nice. Part of the street of Whitlock Avenue has beautiful trees, and there are beautiful antebellum homes on each side.

When I went to Greenwood Place, I didn't have an appointment there, but I was able to speak with someone that I had spoken to prior. She made time for me and that was really nice. They also allowed my daughter to come in with me, so that was more convenient. I was able to see more and ask more questions in detail.
I liked their activities too. They seemed to have even more activity, including gardening and things like that. There were ladies getting their hair done, and they were all dressed up going into the beauty salon. They were all in a good mood. It was nice to see the residents enjoying their time. The person who gave us the tour was great as well.

Greenwood Place was nice, but it felt more like a nursing home than an assisted living. The residents were much older. The dining area looked more like cafeteria-style. It was not what we're looking for for my parents. The person who gave the tour was very friendly, very friendly, she was funny and we laughed a lot. The atmosphere was healthy and vibrant. I saw a lot of people, but they were mostly just milling around the dining hall or the dining area. Activities were going on, and there was a calendar of activities. The facilities weren't as inviting as the other places I toured.

The people were very accommodating at Greenwood Place. The place was relatively small with about 60 residents. The building looked like a converted hotel. It was off of the highway far enough, but it was right next to a cemetery. Everything looked a little bit crowded to me. They had bingo.

I put my mother at Greenwood Place as it was close to home and a reasonable kind. The people seemed to be very good with my mom, and they have a lot going on for their residents. The food seems OK, and the staff seems very appropriate and caring.

Greenwood Place was a very nice facility, but they did not want Mom’s dog brought in. The rooms were very nice and very clean.

Greenwood Place is really flexible, and I like the place. They let my ex-husband do what he likes to do. They have bingo and all kinds of activities. It’s clean, it’s nice, and the food and the staff are good.
