My mom moved into American House Zephyrhills. We chose this for my mom because the location is close to my house. The staff is friendly. My mom's room is nice and adequate for her size. We ate in the dining room one time, and the food was good. The dining area was nice, clean, and friendly. The atmosphere feels safe.

I toured American House Zephyrhills. It was like walking into the most expensive hotel you have ever walked into. It was beautiful on the inside. They had a floor for rehab with an exercise room and stuff like that. If I had money and I was going somewhere, I would go there. It was nice. I only got to see the room where my brother would be staying. It was a nice-sized room. They have one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The staff showed me everything, and it was very nice.

American House Zephyrhills was beautiful and clean all the way. It was brand new, and it looked like a hotel. The bedroom that I saw had a balcony, a mini kitchen, and a bathroom. It was very clean. If I had the money, that's where I would put my father. No question. There were activities to do and they encouraged everybody to come out of their rooms. The staff was very encouraging and very informative. They had a courtyard and happy hours, and they take the residents out shopping.

I thought American House Zephyrhills was top of the line. They gave us a marvelous tour. The place was clean and the employees were very polite and professional. The rooms were very well measured in terms of size and they gave us a good chance to see different rooms and different price levels. They were very kind, made their best effort, and were professional in that regard. They showed good interpersonal skills. The dining room was absolutely beautiful. They had smaller dining areas where you could have parties with your families and close it off if you wanted to. As you came in, you'd see this beautiful fireplace. It's a nice family-type room that's very large and well-decorated with nice pictures on the wall and color variations. It gave people a sense of security and balance. We saw a couple of units that were occupied. The residents looked very happy. Their rooms had pictures of families, and they seemed clean and well taken care of. We watched several of the residents working together with the staff down on the main floor while others were going up and down the elevators. They seemed very content. The grounds were well kept up and you can drive up to the front comfortably. They have ramps for wheelchairs and other transport.

I had an in-person tour of American House Zephyrhills. It was awesome. It was a nice facility. The staff seemed nice. The rooms were nice. The accommodations and the program seemed nice. They have a meal plan and different activities. I think they had a salon or barbershop. It was convenient from where I plan on moving to. It was really close to my house, so that was good. The grounds were clean and well-kept. It's a very well-maintained property. The staff was personable, knowledgeable, and friendly. They didn't have a refrigerator, which I thought was a little odd, and it didn't seem to have a place where you could put one.

American House Zephyrhills was what we highly recommended. It's just very impressive and just up high on a hill. It has a view of a small pond across the way. I think every unit had a balcony on the second floor. You could go from a single room, then all the way up to the full care. One of our friends was there, and she got worse, so they moved her into a nursing home. The staff was wonderful and very informative. She was factual. She didn't try to glamorize anything. We got the menu and it seemed adequate. We went up to the second floor because that was where she was showing us a one-bedroom apartment. There were two men sitting there playing some kind of video game on TV that was in a central area, and there was another couple of men sitting there watching them play these games. They were all very jolly, having fun, and enjoying themselves. If it was on our income, I definitely would want to live there if I needed assisted living. It was a beautiful facility. It was like being in a home. It was super clean, and everything looked like new. I think most people would want more, as far as the updated equipment, appliances, and carpeting.

We toured American House Zephyrhills. We met with a young lady, and she was very helpful. We had a number of questions, and she answered all of them very well. She showed us everything: all of the building and the different rooms. Everything that we asked, she did explain. We saw the studio, and we saw one bedroom; they're very nice. They would be comfortable. You furnish your own furniture. They do your laundry, and they come to your room and take it. They do it on your floor. It's done not as a group laundry, but just as theirs. They offer free cable. They have a bus that will take them for appointments. They do have exercise classes in a room. Somebody was leading them and exercising. They have crafts for them. They show movies for them downstairs and give them popcorn and on Sundays and Wednesdays. They have church services. It's very nice. It's like a Hilton. You have nice views at your window, and the dining room was nice.

American House Zephyrhills was a newer facility. It was very clean. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. Overall, it was a very nice facility. It was spacious. The way everything was laid out was very nice. They have rooms where they play bingo, they do arts and crafts, they get together, they socialize, they have church services, and so on and so forth. Those areas were laid out very nicely. They were very spacious, very nice, and very clean. I saw the kitchen, and it was very nice and very clean. The staff was very nice, very knowledgeable, and very friendly. Everyone I saw spoke to me. It's a very nice facility.

American House Zephyrhills is the one that we're going to pick. It's the newest of the ones we've visited. It was originally built for independent living, so the rooms feel like you're in an apartment. It doesn't really feel like you're in an assisted living. It's very much laid out so that it feels like you're walking in a hallway of a hotel. It's very nice, and it's up to date such that they have kitchen areas with actual wooden cabinets that are up to date. They actually have full-sized refrigerators and full stoves. The stoves are not hooked up, but if you have someone who is still mentally aware, they will consider hooking the stove up for them. There was no other place that actually even had a stove in the room. The only staff we talked to was the person who gave us the tour, and she was very knowledgeable and very nice. They have a pool table, a little bar area where they have a happy hour, a dining room, a private dining room, and an actual exercise area. The big thing that they have is the rehab facility on the second floor, so you don't have to go out for rehab. Their rehab is connected with the hospital; their staff comes and does rehab on site. They have different levels of care, and they rank them depending on what they need. Level 1 is the minimum, like getting them out of their bed. If they need bathing, that might take it to Level 2. They had a back courtyard, but the rooms that we looked at all had a balcony. The balconies have room for two seats and a small end table, so people can go outside without leaving their room.

American House Zephyrhills had a nice layout and a lot of activities, but it was over in the Zephyrhills area, which is a little bit further from me. There also weren't a lot of things to do outside. It's for someone that's not that mobile. The staff was really nice, and all the residents that I met seemed happy. They had studios and apartments available.

I really like American House where both my parents are staying. It's very clean, and I didn't notice any smell when I was there. It is very nicely decorated. When I first walked in the door, I was greeted by three different people who were very friendly, inviting, and totally engaged in conversation. They answered my questions and showed me the whole building. The staff is very accommodating. The food was good. The only thing is that they tend to be short-staffed. The girls have really gone above and beyond with my parents for the most part. They have bingo, cards, Happy Hour, and entertainers who come in to sing. They also take them on outings. I think they have sufficient activities. For the amount of care my dad receives, it's reasonable. It may be a little bit on the higher side, but it's not outrageous.

American House Zephyrhills was nice and had a lot of activity going on, but I wouldn't want to be there. It was clean, but it's different from what I would want. The layout of the place was a little confusing to me. Some guy was playing music when we were there, and people were sitting around listening to him. They served a meal that I wasn't happy with because it was all fried food. To me, it's not what elderly people would need. The person who toured us was very nice.

My parents stayed at American House Zephyrhills for about a month. The appearance was fine, but it felt like being in the hospital with a lot of people being pushed around in wheelchairs and walkers. They didn't like the food very much. It was at best cafeteria-style. They didn't like the rigid hours where you had to eat on a certain schedule. They were OK with the staff. There weren't a whole lot of activities other than some downstairs in the recreation room, like bingo night once in a while, but for the most part they said it was fairly boring. They sat in their room and watched TV and went down to eat because everything was on a tight schedule. They didn't really like that. The only deficiency I saw in the staff was all related to the food and the dining facility. The day I ate there, the girls came to the table and couldn't even tell us what was on the menu. They had no idea what food was being served for that day. Overall, the facility was really nice. They should improve on the food and have more activities to keep people a little bit more engaged and busy.

When you walk into American house, it's beautiful and clean, and it smells wonderful. The staff greeted us immediately. We had a meal, and it was excellent. The rooms are very nice and small, but it is really perfect for an Alzheimer's patient; a bigger room scares them. The staff was excellent, they explained everything, and there were lots of stuff going on. They were doing crafts when I was there -- they were making jewelry -- and it was nice. It's probably the best.

American House was gorgeous. It was nice, and my mother decided that if she was ever ready, that's probably where she would go. It was wonderful and beautiful. We had lunch, which was wonderful. We visited the apartments. They were very nice. It seemed like a very well taken care of establishment. Everybody there seemed very happy and at her level, mentally. It was more for people that had a lot of physical issues rather than mental, and that's what we liked about it. The staff was wonderful. It was very pricey, but as far as the care that they told us people receive there, it seemed perfect.

My wife has been in the memory care unit for the past 3 months. I visit her daily. I am always impressed that everyone from the receptionist to the executive director is fully aware of what is going on, and clearly dedicated to their roles. It is a happy place. The staff in the memory care unit is very vigilant in supervising the residents in all ways including hygiene, activities, medicine & support. She receives extremely helpful physical therapy on premises. I would identify many people by name but I am sure that I would leave some off. The bottom lie is that this is a friendly place with wonderful amenities and a caring staff. They make it feel like home.

The facility looks very nice. However, we found that the activities and services provided were only minimal. It appears that most residents here are just waiting to die. The biggest problem with this facility is the nursing / wellness administrator and staff. They do not return phone calls in a reasonable amount of time, are unable to keep track of Dr. appointments and communicate effectively with residents, and provide accurate information about the residents. We had to find a better facility with competent nursing staff.

The Commons on Pretty Pond is very expensive. It’s a huge campus. It’s a beautiful place, and they offered different kinds of programs, if you want meals, if you don’t want meals, if you want assisted living or not assisted living. The rooms were nice, but if you have the money that’s great. Everybody was accommodating and nice. They have a bus that takes you shopping, groceries; all the things that other assisted living places have.

The Commons on Pretty Pond was really nice. It was a lovely and newer facility. It was also more expensive than the other facility. The dining room was nice but typical. The staff was very pleasant. For accommodations, I only saw one room and it was nice. They also had like studio apartments. For activities, they would provide shopping trips and movies, but in terms of location, they aren't really many big attractions close by.

We toured Bentley Commons twice and the place was extremely nice and it was much better that the others that we saw. It felt homey. We had lunch there and it was like an elegant dining experience. They had one-bedroom, two-bedroom and studio type units, which all had a small private kitchen with an oven and refrigerator. They served lunch and dinner and soon they would be serving food twenty four hours a day. However, it was private paid and she would be able to afford it without any assistance. However, I would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone who could afford it.
