My dad has moved to American House Lutz and he's doing well there. They have a very friendly staff, they're extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They were able to get him in very quickly since he didn't have family in the area. And they were able to book very nice accommodations for him, they did all the considerations to help do the evaluation, to help to get him adjusted. Both the director and the business manager were extremely helpful in not only selecting this place but helping me transition my dad. It's got a great front area for the residents to sit in, it's a very peaceful area with very clean facilities. The dining hall is a menu type where you sit down and you select things from a menu, as opposed to just eating whatever is being served. It's very communal so there's like tables of 4 to 5, so you end up in a little group. And that's helped my dad socialize quite a bit. They have some nice grounds to walk around on the outside, which are again near a neighborhood and a quiet area. It's a very nice setting, overall. He hasn't participated in too many activities because he wasn't geared for that but they come and encourage him to socialize. And the meals, of course, are a good opportunity for that, and he has gotten to know some of the residents. There are continuing activities every day that he can participate in, and they showed me some of those ongoing the several times that I went to visit him. It all seems to be very organized and relatable. So for those residents that don't have memory issues and might be starting to have memory issues, they tend to participate quite a bit. The meals are very good. Sometimes, even though they come around and remind them that the meals are on, he forgets or doesn't go. I just called him yesterday he was at lunch with a group of people, and he seems to be enjoying himself. From what we were seeing in the area, it was a very, very high value for its money.

We are choosing American House Lutz for my dad because it is very family-oriented. I could tell that the residents are very happy there. When you walk into the foyer, it's very welcoming, very bright, and very clean. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. They have several activities throughout the month. The residents looked pleasantly involved with the activities. One of the things that stood out to me when I toured the place was that there's a specific day for families to come and visit, and I appreciate that. For Grandparents' Day, they had the place full of grandkids and I thought that was cool. The place was very clean and very aesthetically pleasing. As I was walking out, some of the residents voluntarily came up to me and told me that my dad will be very happy there, so that's when I knew because that made a big difference.

American House Lutz was very good. It's a very nice place, people are very, very nice. I can't get hold of them right now because I was going to double-check with them if they would do Medicaid or not. It's a very clean place. It seemed like a nice place for my mother, but I'm just trying to do the money part, and they were helpful. I'm not able to get hold of anybody, and it was open till eight, but now for some reason, they're closing at five. The staff was very good, very nice, and very helpful. Everyone was very friendly and they showed me the room, talked about the nursing staff, how many they have on-call, that they have a lot of activities, that the chef would try to talk to each resident. They usually have a set meal, if there's a little bit of preference, they do try to meet that. If somebody has some specific issues, maybe they don't eat pork or something, he'll try to accommodate them reasonably to their needs. So that was nice. They showed me a piece of paper with all the activities they do, and it looks like there's a lot there. There's playing bingo. I talked to a couple of the residents and one resident has been there for 12 years and she said she liked it. They seemed to have pretty good security.

My dad moved into American House Lutz two months ago. Well, I liked the facility a lot, and it was not as expensive as a lot of the other ones, but the biggest problem that I'm having right now is they just don't have it together. I hear one thing from one person and something different from another. One person tells me what time dinner is, and another tells me something different. One tells me how to come in the front door, and another person tells me differently. They're not organized. The room is very nice. I like his room a lot, and I like the facility. The staff is very, very, very nice, but they're not organized, so it's very difficult to figure out what I'm supposed to do and not supposed to do. He seems to like the food.

American House Lutz was wonderful and had a very homey feeling. I was impressed. Carolyn, who showed me around, was great, very informative, and she wasn't pushy at all. She wants the right fit for my mom, which I thought was great. I really liked American House. It's not the fanciest, it's kind of middle of the road, but it was very clean, and nice. They had a studio, a one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom. The two-bedrooms available were very large. The studios, she said, vary a little bit in size. I saw several of them, and they were decent-size studios. I did not see a one-bedroom because they were all occupied. They had arts and crafts, a movie room, a library, a sitting area outside for the memory part, a dining room, and a physical therapy room that had exercise equipment. I looked at the assisted living, but they also showed me the memory care for future use. I did get to meet the arts and crafts people, but I didn't get to meet any of the nursing staff.

My mother-in-law was at American House Lutz. Our experience was fair. Initially, the staff we met with was very friendly. It was a nice community, it was very quaint, and it had a Southern-type feel to it in terms of hospitality, so that experience I would say was positive. Nevertheless, they could improve on proper assessment of residents when moving in.

It was at the top of our list. They just opened up a new memory care facility, and it's a very nice place. The dining area was very elegant, they had bingo going on, they had a pool table, and they had a list of things up on the wall that you can do. They had a beauty shop, and a lady comes in once a week.

It was small, and the rooms were small. The food was nice. They had people who did amazing paintings and friendly competitions for arts and crafts. The staff was very friendly and whenever you ask them a question, their response was always, "Is there something else I can help you with?" The food was pretty good, and the facilities were really nice.

It was a fairly nice place. It's nice looking and some of the rooms were pretty good. One was a suite and it was like one room with a bathroom and a little kitchen area, and you put a bed and a TV or a dresser in there. They also have some one-bedrooms and they were pretty clean, but they just showed us the model. They have arts and crafts, and they have a cafeteria.

I have my grandmother living there and I feel so confident that they take good care of her. The food is great and there are lots of fun activities to do all the time. The staff is very kind and the residents are like family.

This is a new, beautiful, and very clean facility. The staff seems very warm, caring, and attentive. I am impressed by the amount of diverse activities that are offered to the residents. There seems to be a great amount of interest in keeping the seniors engaged and active. I have even seen some residents with pets like little dogs and birds. I think allowing pets is very compassionate and helps both the pet owners and the residents that enjoy interacting with the pets. The apartments are large and very clean. This seems more like an apartment complex than an assisted living facility.
