Delegating the drudgery of life’s chores to the highly capable staff of The Promenade affords you the time to relax and focus on what is important to you. Not only will you have the freedom to do what you like, but your life will broaden in wonderful new ways as you make new friends with like-minded peers, sharing meals and pursuing new interests together.

The Promenade was horrible. People were sleeping outside. There was no one interacting with any of the residents that we could see. We waited more than 28 minutes, and no one came to check on us. We were just walking around. It's not a safe facility. When we were at the other residence, they called us at that point, and they said, 'Oh, were you here?' No one came to see what we were doing. No one bothered to say, 'We'll be back in 5 minutes.' No one said anything. They called us hours later wanting to talk to us about seeing the facility, but nope, it was not a good facility. It was adequate, but nowhere near the cleanliness of the other residence home that we visited. We went to the courtyard and everything else like that. There didn't seem to be anyone around. You could just walk into the building, so that wasn't good.

The Promenade was clean and well-appointed. They had a theater, a salon, and PT. It was very well taken care of. The only reason we didn't pick that place was that the television situation was a problem. They only had TV outlets in the living room, not in the bedroom where my mother would want to watch her television, and they didn't have any kind of extended cable package that she could purchase.

I love The Promenade. It's built in a courtyard style. They're right on a very busy highway. All of the hallways had windows on both sides. None of the other places were that bright and light, and I think that makes a real difference in these hallways. Out of all of the places we visited, this was the only place where residents stopped us and asked us if we were looking for a family member. They told us how much they would love it there. We were fed there an entire meal. They have the two special choices of the day. My friend got the chili, and I got the mahi. It was excellent. It is so easy to overcook mahi, but it was spot on. The chef came out himself. There's dessert. Then on the other side of the menu, there are like 15 items that are always available if you don't like the two offerings. The food was so good. They had a private dining room, which was where we ate in. You can hold family parties there. I liked the fact that as long as you're of an adult age (my grandson is 18), any one of us can come and get mom if we are on the list. It's a beautiful facility. The entire place is brand new. They had the best gyms I've seen anywhere with multiple choices of equipment. They had physical therapists in house.

I like The Promenade. It's very attractive and the people were very nice. I just wished their apartments had more closet space and a slightly bigger kitchen. I know it was an assisted living apartment and you're not supposed to have a kitchen, but I just liked it a little bit more. I wish they had outdoor spaces too. They did not have a pool, but they have exercises, bingo, card games, and very nice staff.
