We toured Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont. We were looking for independent leaning toward assisted, just needing assistance with medications. The community does need a lot of physical improvements, but the director has a lot of plans for that. She is very upfront and open and knows that she can make it a lot more conducive to being more home-like and having more of an open atmosphere. She has a lot of plans for improving that place. The director was the only one we met but she was outstanding. She's very knowledgeable. They have an activities calendar, but it isn't quite as extensive as some locations. But she has plans for that as well. They have a salon. They don't have a movie area, but she's planning on making one. She's got a lot of plans for renovating and improving the rooms, too.

My brother will be moving into Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont. I like the friendly staff and the fact that he could smoke. The other facility that we visited was nonsmoking. It's not as nice as the other place, but the staff is so friendly and my brother is not a fancy person, so it fits him better. They have good activities. We had a resident who came up to us when we were visiting and she was showing us the dining room. She told us that she had been living there for a year and it was the best place in the world and the staff was awesome. So that kind of helped us make our decision also. The apartments were very nice. It's very well maintained. They have a very nice courtyard that's closed off. It's very comfortable looking and it has a covered patio and it's nice. They offer transportation to and from the doctors. They take them to Wal-Mart and the store. There's a couple of shopping excursions they let them do. It is very conveniently located right off of I-10. For convenience's sake, Pacifica is very nice because it's just about two blocks off the interstate.

I went to Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont a week ago. I felt that it was friendly, warm, and seemed more like a place that could be a home rather than a facility. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. It was very clean, very well kept. I know that that's important to my mother, if it wasn't kept up, she wouldn't feel comfortable. They've got some organized games that they do. She could go in as an independent living, and they were pretty sure that we could add the medication overseeing as part of that and not be in total assisted living. She doesn't feel that she needs complete assisted living at this time. We haven't had a meal there yet, but they did offer to have us come back with my mom and include a meal at that point. It was our place of choice.

Overall this is a great place for your loved one. Anytime you have a concern someone will talk with you and handle whatever it is. Are they 100% perfect..no but I can promise you that I could not run an assisted living facility without having a issue from time to time. The little things that I have had an issue with are so minor compared to all the good I see. They know everyone by name and really care about them. The food is great and the communication from everyone is amazing.

The lady that works at Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont, Anna, was fantastic. She was so helpful, so that was very nice. It seems like when they tell you what it's going to cost, that's what it really costs. They don't add a lot of expenses, everything is included. They give you a price and that's what you pay every month, and you're not going to get anything added on. Unless you go to the hairdresser or something, but everything there, the price that you get from them is inclusive down to your lightbulbs. My sister-in-law will get three meals a day, they have three choices on the menu at each meal, activities, and it has a bus. She smokes so they've got an area outside for that. That was a big thing because she insisted on being somewhere where she could have a cigarette if she chose. There's a courtyard there that allows smoking. It sounds like a very good fit for her.

Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont was nice. It was a little older and dated, though, and the room just wasn't big enough for two people. It's an older building, but it was kept up and clean. It could use some renovations. The amenities were nice, and the residents seemed very happy. There were some sitting out front when we got there, so we talked to them and they all seemed very well pleased with it. They only offer studios and one-bedrooms. I think they need to expand or maybe offer some two-bedroom options. My parents, for example, are coming out of a three-bedroom, two-bath house, and it was just too much. It would be perfect for a single person, but for couples, I don't think it would really work out. They really need to update the facilities. They had older appliances. They had some staff that had been there a very long time, and the nurse seemed very knowledgeable. It definitely needs a refresh and updates, but it was very clean, and it didn't have any smell.

My mom has been a resident of the Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont's Assisted Living facilities for more than three years. She's now 95. The staff is kind, friendly, and helpful, and I couldn't appreciate them more. Mama is happy here and considers it her home. She tells others that the staff takes good care of her and that she enjoys being there. My family and I are very grateful for the conscientious care Mama receives.

I have been extremely pleased with the Woodmont facility and staff. They treat my mother with the utmost respect and help her anytime she asks for assistance. She loves the Sunday Mystery rides and other activities. Thank you Woodmont! Keep up the good work.

When my brother came in over a year ago, EVERYONE was so professional and nice. I now consider many of them friends. Nurse Latina, Aisha the Business Manager, Jerald the Executive Director, Nick Heron the marketing guy, Kenny in maintenance and cant forget about Jo Beth in activities have all been so pleasant to me!!! There is no place else I will rather him be. If I have any questions all I have to make a quick call or show up and they help me immediately. Thank you to the staff and God bless them all. I know its hard work because I have been in their shoes but they all do it well!

When my grandmother and I walked into this facility the smell of urine was in the air. We were given the tour by the facility's chef. The menu posted for the week was outdated. We completed the tour because I wanted my grandmother to see all her options but I wasn't impressed at all.

Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont was very clean. They had activities, a TV room, chef, and snacks. It was not really spacious, but it was really nice. The staff was super nice and seemed to be really caring.

I was a volunteer at Pacifica senior living for 3 months. During my time at this facility, I was able to experience all of the care and planning that goes into each day. The Woodmont staff goes above and beyond what is required of them in order to ensure their residents are able to enjoy a high quality of life. Residents are encouraged to attend the many activities each day that staff coordinate with the residents, and special visitors help to brighten up the days as well!

I volunteer here on a weekly basis; the environment is very comforting mainly because of the extremely friendly staff. Assistance is immediately given to residents with a smile to complement. In addition, the visual appeal makes me feel like I am in an actual house. Unlike other senior living places, Pacifica always has plenty of activities to keep the residents busy. There is no excuse for any resident to ever feel lonely; there are always several different activities planned each day, including off-site trips to certain places! This will be my third year volunteering and I will continue to come because I enjoy assisting the staff with all the activities that are planned for the residents. All of the residents that I interact with always speak highly of Pacifica.

Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont was pretty good until they said that I was going to have to pay more. They had everything there, including assisted living and help at the end for dementia or Alzheimer’s patients. A couple of the staff members were very nice and you sort of bond with them, but there were others who were very indifferent, which I expect you are going to find all over. He did get care there.

The downstairs at Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont and the people were great, but up where the rooms where, the hallways were long, narrow, and dark. It was too gloomy up in the rooms, and some of the windows faced a brick wall. The dining area was nice looking. It looked like they tried very hard to have lots of things going on. The staff is very hard working and friendly.

I am writing to commend the staff at Pacifica/Woodmont in Tallahassee, Florida (Susan W., Laurie L., Danny, Kenny, Brittany, Pam, the nurses, the kitchen staff and the custodial and maintenance staff). Tallahassee was hit by Hurricane Hermine on Thursday, 9/1/16. 90% of the City of Tallahassee lost power including Woodmont. My 92 year old father lives in the facilty. Woodmont lost power on Thursday eveing and power was not restored until late on Saturday afternoon. The staff was outstanding. The care and concern they gave each resident was more than we could ask for. I know that Susan and Laurie stayoned on site day and night until power was restored. The lack of power meant meals had to be delivered to each and every person who lived on the 2nd floor three times a day, phones did not work, and medications had to be dispensed regardless of whether or not there was air conditioning or electricity. All of the staff pitched in to get the job done regardless of what was happening in their own homes. And they smiled while doing it! (I stopped by a number of times during the power outage so I saw this firsthand.) My father has only lived there for a few months but we are very happy we chose your facility but we are very happy that we chose this facilty.

Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont is where Mom will be moving into. It seemed to fit her needs perfectly, and it's not that far from her home, so she feels comfortable in that part of town. It was clean, and the people were very friendly and answered all of our questions. They even gave us information that we didn't even know we needed. They showed us four different apartments, one of which Mom really liked. The residents we spoke to on the tour were very happy to be there. It was just a very nice and friendly place. There is always a person at the front desk all of the time, and they seemed to have all of the log-in/log-out procedures that I was looking for. We went to the dining room to look at some of the menus and were very pleased with it.

I liked Woodmont too. I thought out of the people I saw, they were very active. The apartments were very large. It was an older building, and it was very big. The staff was very good. They were prepared for my visit. They also continued to stay in touch with me and they explained everything including the costs. It was far back from a busy street. I would recommend Woodmont. In fact, if I could get my mother to move down here, that is probably where I would want her to stay.

I was able to visit Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont, and it was nice, but I think a little bit higher probably than I wanted to pay. I didn’t spend that much time there, but it seemed like I would enjoy living there.

I like Pacifica Senior Living. I talked to some of the patients there and they were all pretty content and happy. The staff was great. They're very helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms and their dinning room were nice.

Actual rating: 2.5 stars. Recent renovations in the common areas are lovely. Still, most exit doors and doors within the building (bathroom, common rooms) are not handicapped accessible. This is surprising since many residents are wheelchair bound. The units are fair - most bathtubs have been redone but a step into the tub still causes big problems for some seniors. Had constant problems with the refrigerator in the unit which froze up constantly. Despite repeated requests, it was never replaced. The staff is very caring - but there are not enough of them, and the turnover is relentless. This goes for main office staff (several turn overs in Director) as well as for nurses and care staff. Though residents are provided with an emergency button, it often takes over an hour for a staff response. The food is really awful. We brought our mom in food from local restaurants or home cooked meals as often as possible. The facility is generally clean, smells good and provides a fair amount of activities for the residents. Costs are high and if the resident is in the hospital or in rehab there is NO cost break, even though they are not being provided any food or services. Would suggest this facility only if a loved one is close by and can stop by frequently to advocate for the resident.
