We went to visit the Lakehouse West assisted living facility since we were already in the region, looking at places for my friend's mother to live.
The outside grounds were colorful, well designed and pleasant, with plenty of nice seating areas.
The interior foyer looked like that of a nice motel, but with more space. We could see that the facility offers plenty of amenities - like social enrichment activities in and around the community.
The private housing options were all lovely and looked like they had been personalized to the tastes of each resident.
The restaurant style dining had many delicious menu choices. The lunch we saw was like you might find in an upscale diner. They also had a private dining room for friends and family to enjoy and visit in.
The staff takes residents on weekly outings for shopping and entertainment to enjoy all sorts of activities, from nature walks to cultural events.
The exercise room was nicely designed with good equipment and they also offer regular classes such as yoga, aerobics, dance and others.
Every resident we saw appeared to be very well cared for in a peaceful, yet fun environment by kind and attentive staff.
