Lake Gibson Village is great. The staff is wonderful and the facilities are great. It's very clean. My dad moved into a one-bedroom apartment with a walk-in closet, accessible shower, and a kitchenette. It's a nice place. They do a bunch of activities listed in their activity schedule. They have boat rides, trips to local places, shopping, and things of that nature.

We chose Lake Gibson Village for my grandmother because of the responsiveness and friendliness of the staff and the beautiful private apartments. She has been there for a year now, and they continue to be adaptive to her needs. It makes us feel good to know she is somewhere safe, comfortable, and in a beautiful, peaceful setting.

My mother has been a resident of Lake Gibson Village for a few years now and seems to be very happy there. They are always responsive to her needs and concerns. I would HIGHLY recommend this facility for your loved ones.

We have placed my mom at Lake Gibson Village in Lakeland. She's in assisted living and I just visited her today. It is absolutely beautiful, the residents are very happy and friendly, and so is the staff. Because of COVID, I've only tasted one of the meals, but my mother is very much enjoying it. It was delicious. The first night she was there, I took a taste for her and it was wonderful. They have about ten-to-fifteen different activities a day that they can participate in. I've seen it and it's very interactive. The residents are all having a good time.
They have a beauty shop, a pool, and a workout room. They have physical therapy and occupational therapy, and an on-site podiatrist comes a couple of times a month. They have a doctor who provides service there too. You're definitely paying for what you get. It's definitely more than the other places I looked at, but she also needs a higher level of care. I think based on her needs and what we're paying, we are probably spot on.

My sister and brother-in-law are in a community called Lake Gibson Village in Lakeland. It's pretty expensive.
It's a nice facility, but the rooms are small. They live in 550 square feet, and that includes the kind of efficiency kitchen, the living room, and then a little family room; it's just a really small thing.
They have a nice swimming pool. They have a big foyer, a big theater, and they have a really nice dining hall. The meals are brought to your table by the waitresses and you order from them. They get really good food.
They allow pets and their staff is pretty good. I just didn't like my sister's Medicare insurance program. They want to control all the prescriptions, all the drugs, and stuff. I just feel like they're making money off of that. Other than that, they're pretty good.
They have not had a social worker on staff to take on a lot of issues, and they should have. Instead, they bring on a person or kind of subcontractor who you have to pay directly, and they charge $100 an hour, which I don't like. It's a service that should be provided by the community, and it's quite a bit of money.
