I am a resident of Best Care which is now under new Administrator. We have a good functioning resident council that works well with administration. We have a fantastic activities director! We are making this place feel like HOME for everyone here!

The number one factor we considered in choosing Best Care Senior Living at Winter Haven assisted living for my mom was its nearness to me. It's only 30 minutes away from where I live, so that was a huge consideration. Some of the other places were more than an hour away, so that made a big difference. I would describe the community as clean and friendly. It's complete too, it has everything that you need. The marketing director was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating during the tour. The rooms were a double room with a common sitting area and I think that was unique. I'd never seen that before and I think that's good. I think that encourages the roommates to visit with each other and have more interaction so I like that. I know that the company that's running this facility has recently purchased it so I know they're going through a lot of upgrades and repairs right now.

Very limited staff. Wont take blood pressure or ck blood sugar. Room is nice. Not always clean. I had to sweep myself it was so bad. Cna is only medical person who is not very cooperative. Parking lot in bad shape. Pot holes galore. Patient fell and no one noticed. Activities very limited. Elevator locked and never anyone around to put in code. Very limited personnel on weekends and at nite. Food very minimal if ur a good eater. No cooperation on getting medical info on family member. Best to do yourself. Some staff very nice and manager tries hard. Someone new every time so u cant get info across to staff. Communication difficult.
