The Village Veranda at Lady Lake was beautiful. I was very impressed with it. It would be a consideration. I was just impressed with the whole facility. The person who gave the tour was very friendly and provided all the information that answered all my questions. The room we saw was adequate, I looked at a 1-bedroom and it would be quite an adjustment, but it was sufficient. I did not eat any food there, but the dining area was very pretty and very neat. There seemed to be plenty of amenities, and there were sufficient activities for those that wanted to participate. There was a game playing, and there was a crafts room.

Village Veranda at Lady Lake was a nice facility, but it was a little too large and it has three stories. All the people were very nice there as well. Nobody treated us poorly, and we had good tours and everything. If that one wouldn't have been a three-story building and so large with so many apartment-type places, it would have been a toss-up with the other facility we saw. They have their dining room and crafts, and they have tons of activities that go on all the time. They get their people to their appointments and everything, just about any great service to make sure that the people there are happy.

The move-in fee at Village Veranda costs about $3000, It's a one time fee and they said if you move in by the end of the month, it would be waived. The meals are included, as well as snacks, medical appointments (pick up and drop off), doctors, and an in-house pharmacy. The big advantage is that they accept Medicaid and out of all the ones we visited, they were the only ones who does that. The place was very clean and very well appointed. Everything looked updated. They had a nice courtyard, some areas outside, an ice cream parlor, a barbershop, a salon, and a library. If they didn't feel like getting the specials from the menu, they have a separate one that they could make some for them. They said that when my father-in-law will be there, they will have an ambassador to kind of guide him. They would pair them with somebody that has the same interest. They do that for a short while until they get used to the place.

I think the staff at Village Veranda at Lady Lake was extremely professional and sufficient. The facility itself was extremely impressive, clean, well decorated, open, and airy. Everything just smelled so nice. It was a very nice setup. The rooms were also very spacious. The studio was really wide, which was nice. They have an ambassador program where people that are still able to get around can go talk and have personal time with other patients. They had a room with a lot of activities. They had these huge balls that they did drumming on for coordination and work out of the arms. We did not see their PT room. We saw their theater, and it was very nice. It had a large theater and chairs. They also had a full quarter that they had listed all the people that were living there, whether or not they were in the Navy, the Army, or the Air Force. I thought that was nice. It was kind of a tribute for the guests. The dining room and entry were both large reception areas just for a lot of people.

Village Veranda at Lady Lake is nice. It's brand new, it's only like seven or eight years old. It's upkept outside and inside. It's a beautiful place. The staff was a 5. She went through everything as far as Medicaid, Medicare, and what they're going to do with my mother and everything else. They were very knowledgeable. The building was nice. It was clean inside and outside. I didn't get a chance to go through all the other stuff, but the rooms were clean and ready to go. They have the same amenities as everybody else. They have an activity director. They have activities every day. They have a calendar sitting there every day. They have different things going on. They have karaoke, bingo, and some other games. They have a quiet area, too. If you want to bring your family in, they have a private luncheon or something like that. They were set up pretty well.

Village Veranda at Lady Lake was elegant. The place is just four years old and it was very nice and very clean with a nice atmosphere. The space just had a lot of cut-offs, and that didn't appeal to me. You go down a hall, you cut off this way, you cut off that way. Then you keep walking around onto different rooms. I like a more wide-open layout. Theirs was quite sectioned. We got to see one room that they were working on, and that was the only two-bedroom they had. They have no pool, but the lady said that they are making arrangements for the gym next door and that maybe I could be able to use that. However, that's not what I'm interested in, I wanted an in-house because the pool to me is therapy. The lady I talked to was very courteous and very knowledgeable, but I caught her saying some things that weren't quite true when she said they were the only ones to offer covered lanai because the other facility I went had it too.

My mother in law was living at another community and it did not go well. She moved into village veranda recently and couldn’t be happier. they are attentive to our families calls and her needs. The staff is genuine and treats her like family. We love that she doesn’t call us with complaints anymore!! Glad we made the move!

I moved my mother to Village Veranda at Lady Lake. The building was lovely, she was there on December 10th, she had a blood clot in her leg, and she went to the hospital, and a week later she passed away. The nurses' aides there were very nice, and much, much better than the ones at the other place she was in. The nurse, however, because of her negligence, did not recognize that my mother had a blood clot in her leg. When I went to visit her, she had excruciating pain at 7 am, and the nurse's reaction was to give her an aspirin, although that wasn't entirely wrong, it was completely, glaringly evident that she had a blood clot, her foot was like a basketball. Consequently, they missed a major thing. The care is nice, but I can't say much for the medical professionals handing out the medication because she missed it completely. The rooms were very nice, the food was mediocre.

I toured the Village Veranda at Lady Lake. They have all kinds of activities: arts and crafts, a gym, and a walking club. They also have transportation to a pool next door. The staff is excellent. There was no one eating in the dining area, since it was after lunch was over.

My mother-in-law has moved into Village Veranda at Lady Lake. It's very nice, new, and clean and we've been very happy so far. Whenever there's an issue, we talk to them, and they would call us back. The food is great, and her room is beautiful. They have activities and the staff is very nice, but they're understaffed. I'm a little concerned with the number of people working there.

Village Veranda at Lady Lake was very nice and new. It was nicely done and very clean. The only thing is the location for me. However, everything was nice, and the tour was good. We saw a one-bedroom and two-bedroom. The lady who showed us the place was very professional and very nice. She was very good. The building was beautiful, and the apartments were nice. They had an indoor pool, which was nice.
