I went to tour The Willows. It was fairly new, very attractive, and had the same amenities that the other ones I saw had. I had an interview with the administrator, she was very interesting to talk to and gave us a lot of information about the facility. The 1-bedroom was a little bit small but adequate. The girl that gave us the tour was very nice, but it was a very quick tour while the other ones spent at least an hour with us. This one was done in 30 minutes. I got to see what I wanted to see to compare it with the other ones. The surroundings were very attractive and very welcoming, it was very clean. I thought the tour was a little quick, but the interview with the administrator before that was good. They didn't do as many room checks as the other facilities, which I was a little concerned about. They would check if somebody didn't show up for a meal, but the other place seemed to check on them throughout the day, and this one did not seem to do that.

The Willows was very nice. Jackie was the one who helped me out and she was very nice and very helpful. She showed me how the whole place looked like. She showed me an efficiency room and an apartment. However, my husband's going to need more nursing care than assisted living. So, it would not be right for him.

The gal at The Willows was very informative and wonderful. The place itself seemed very clean and the prices were very reasonable for what you got. The only thing they didn't take was Medicaid. They have an in-house pharmacy, meals, snacks, medication appointments (pickup and drop off), the internet, TV, and a whole list of different things that are included. She also said that it comes with a medical pendant. The bedrooms were super large, so it was nice. It's very adequate and they have transportation to outside activities, too.

My dad moved into The Willows. I'm very pleased. I like how responsive they are when it comes to getting things done, and how caring they've been for my father. They keep it clean. My father doesn't participate in the activities. He moved into one of the studio apartments.

We took a tour at The Willows, and we really liked the place. The only concern for us is that it's probably 25 minutes, sometimes depending on traffic maybe a 30-minute drive from our house. We'd like a place that is a little closer, but the place was excellent. We saw everything from the kitchen to the dining room, and the different rooms. I think it would be an excellent place for my brother, so it's definitely something we'll consider.
We thought the place itself was outstanding, so we had no issues. We only met a few of the staff, and the ones I met all seem very friendly, and very willing to help. Everything just looked like a nice home, and it was decorated nice. The facility was a clean and very inviting. It would be very comfortable for anyone to live in. It's located not too far from where we live, and it's also near a lot of other things like medical care and so forth. I think that would be convenient should we need it.

We chose The Willows for Mom. It's a beautiful place, but small. It doesn't have quite as many people in it, so it gives it a homier atmosphere. The food smelled delicious and they had a nice menu. They had lots of activities, several different activity rooms, a theater room, rehab and exercise rooms, a doctor on-site that comes and visits, and nurses on-site 24 hours a day. The staff was very nice. The memory care section was kept clean and all the residents seemed to be enjoying themselves. One resident told me that they're like a small family community and she enjoys it there. It's tucked away in a community of other retirement communities. They're all in one area and they're close to shopping. Cost-wise, they're not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. Their rooms were na nice size, well kept, and very clean. They had a gentleman there playing music for them at lunchtime. The memory care is in the same building as assisted living, you just have to go through a locked door to get into it. Everybody's got a smile on their faces and they talk to all the residents. Their memory care had a Jack and Jill suite where they had individual rooms, but a shared bathroom.

I chose the Willows because they seemed interested in my dad, and the price was right. They don’t have that much right now because they are still growing. There are 20 more people in there now than when dad first moved in, and they are still opening up areas. Dad seems to enjoy it and is actually gaining weight. We met the chef, who changes the menu quite a bit, so Dad gets quite a variety. They show a movie three times a day, and play a couple of card games, which Dad wants to do. They take him to his doctors' appointments and things like that. The staff is really great, seem interested in dad, and remembered his name right away. They don't walk by anybody without saying "hi."

We are moving into the Willows next week. They invited us for lunch, and I liked the food. The rooms are certainly adequate. There seems to be plenty of social activities, and it has a younger group of people. They have exercises, social gatherings, and a movie theater. They have their own van that will take you to Walmart or the local food stores where you can get what you want and bring it back. They have two physicians who work directly with the facility and 24-hour RNs who could write scripts for you or get in touch with other specialists you may need. The staff is very good; they answered questions very clearly in a way that you can understand. In general, I thought it was very good.

My father-in-law has moved in to The Willows, but he’s under hospice care right now. The care that he receives has been good. The facility is very clean. The food is very good.

The Willows was a very nice facility, but it's more assisted living. It had nice rooms with little kitchenettes but no stoves. The dining room looked like a very nice facility with a nice layout and was open around the clock so you can go in at anytime, which was pretty good.

The Willows was very attractive. The staff was OK, but they didn’t really follow up on some of my phone calls. It was clean and organized.

The Willows is the newest and cleanest of all the places I visited. It did not resemble any kind of nursing home at all. It resembles a 4-star hotel. Mom is adjusting, and it is the best place for her. The whole place is bright and airy.

We visited The Willows. I liked the location. It was a nice place. The marketing person that we talked with was extremely helpful and extremely positive. It was a really pleasure to be going through the features of that place. What we did not care for was they did not have a covered parking for our cars. The way that place was organized, it was primarily for people that needed full nursing assistance, and we felt we were not in that stage. Most of their people did not have automobiles, and they were very much dependent on transportations provided by The Willows. We felt that the residents there were too elderly for us.

I visited The Willows. Their facility is very nice. I did not really have any problem with their specific facility. I looked at one of their studios. I was not turned off by their place. The thing that most turned me off is that particular day, there was a lot of traffic in The Villages, and it was the opening day of school. The facility itself is a very adequate facility.

The food at The Willows is pretty good. The facility is alright. It’s ample. The rooms are too small.

The Willows is a new facility, it was beautiful, everybody was nice, and they were very friendly. The representatives bent over backwards to make us feel at home. We ate a meal there -- which was delicious. They’ve got independent living and assisted living, and both of those are in one apartment, so you don’t have to move. It was very affordable. However, the apartments don’t have stove tops, and I would miss it. We saw a lot of the clients, they were happy to talk to us, and it was lovely.

The Willows was small with only two stories, which was more the size my dad wanted. Because it was smaller and there were fewer residents there, we felt that they would be able to keep an eye on him a little bit better than in a larger place. The other reason we liked it was the location and that it was right down the street from my father's neurologist office.

Mom was at The Willows at Wildwood. We like the people. They were very nice. It was a new facility. However, the management never got fortified. They had people from other Brookdales coming to cover almost all the big jobs, and that went on the whole time Mom was there when we finally said this isn’t working for us. They didn’t have 24/7 nursing care in their memory care, and the doctor didn’t want her going back there because of that. It is an assisted-living, but they also have memory care. It was new when we moved my mom in there, and some of the things they said were going to be there, just never were. The management staff never had solidified. My mom, in terms, of her everyday care was fine. They were very nice, and they took care of her. However, the activities that were promised weren’t being provided. They had the standard stuff, but not a lot of music.

The Willows is a lovely facility; it’s brand new and it’s excellent. I had no qualms about moving my mother there. The place was large, clean, and modern. The young lady that showed me around was very helpful. I knew what questions to ask and she had all the right answers.
When I was taking a tour of the facility, I saw 2 different activities going on. One set is for people who were further along in dementia and the other is for people without dementia. The bathroom is particularly designed that there are grab bars in the showers and an elderly person would have no problem taking a shower.

The Willows at Wildwood is first class. They take care of the residents. My brother has been here for two months now. They have entertainment, you could get a walker or a ride if you can't walk, and they have exercise classes. The food is good, as well as the staff. He is happy and comfortable there.

The Willows at Wildwood was very nice. I don't have anything bad to say about them. They're quite a bit smaller than what we're used to living in, and that's one of the things we have to adapt to. The dining room was clean. We had lunch there, and the food was good. There were some people playing cards.

The Willows was absolutely gorgeous. It was very impressive and laid out very nicely. Of course, it was brand new. Everyone was very friendly, and we were introduced to many of the staff, which took the time to stop and sit with my dad. They had more amenities and more choices for the residents than the other facilities that we visited in the area. They had a game room. Their dining area was like a restaurant style, which offered a lot more choices for the food. They don't have set dining hours like the other place we went, which had a 2 hour window of when to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The thing my dad was very impressed with was their medical staff. They had a doctor on staff and a cardiologist that came in on a regular basis. Someone also came in to draw their blood. It was endless -- the things that they offered.
There were transportation services for the residents, which were much more extensive than the places we visited. They had a library. They had Wi-Fi and internet access in the room for the residents. They had the salon for personal services. I couldn't think of anything that they don't have.
