The Reserve at Citrus was wonderful. I felt like it was very homey. The people were lovely. The staff was very down to earth, very caring, and very good. They were wonderful, they were. I picked this place because it fits mom. She doesn't like real fancy. But it's beautiful and nice, and it's very homey. It's a good fit for her. People were not being ignored. You can see the residents sitting around. Somebody from the kitchen was walking by and noticed that this one woman's shoe was coming off, so they stopped and they put the shoe back on. Little things, they just didn't walk by and ignored her. And you could tell they weren't putting on a show. The residents look happy, they say hello to you. They're just living their lives and walking and doing their thing. Very nice and very welcoming. They're remodeling when I visited, which I'm sure will be done by the time mom's down there. They went over everything that they had for the different levels of care, and the way they were going to handle mom's medical care. And they explained everything in detail, all the different levels of what she's going to need. And they were very informative and made me feel very comfortable that mom will be taken care of. They have a group of doctors, they have a podiatrist. They have a beauty parlor. They have a physical therapy department there, and I met that woman. She was lovely. I'm telling you, I was very pleased.

My mom has moved into The Reserve at Citrus. Basically, we let my mother visit several places. This is the one that was most comfortable for her. One of the reasons is that it is all on one level, and so that made it easier. She has macular degeneration. It just made it easier for her to get around and be mobile. The other reason is that it is in close proximity to where my brother lives. It makes it a little easier for him to visit and keep up with stuff. Location had a lot to do with it, but my mother chose it for several reasons. She felt like it was very welcoming. We were able to make her room like home. We moved her things in and made her comfortable.
My brother and my other sister ate there. The meals are OK. They offer several activities. I know my mother has participated in the exercise classes. She participated in bingo. She participated in Bible study, which she very much enjoyed. There are some game times and ice cream times, and those I think she's gone down for. She played cornhole for the first time, and she got a big laugh out of that. There are nice activities available for them.
The staff has been super. I have no complaints. They have been very kind and very patient. My mother has some adjusting to do. It takes time for that. They're just being really patient with her, so we appreciate that a lot. I have not had one instance where they weren't helpful. If they can't help me, they'll find somebody who can.
My mother gets her room cleaned. They come in and make her bed. From what I've seen, it's kept very clean. As for the value for money, they were right in the ballpark. They were right there with everybody else. I think they were probably on the more reasonable side. They allow my mother's pet there for visits. Actually, she could keep her if able. It is a big plus on why we chose that particular facility.

At the time I went to look at The Reserve at Citrus, they were going through a renovation. The facility was all on one level, and it was very warm. I like the way they treat the people. Everybody engages. The community sponsor was a wonderful lady. They will do everything to accommodate you. The food is excellent. They just redid their kitchen. It's a very nice environment. Each section has screened-in rooms on the outside where they can go and smoke if they need to. It's right next to the Knights of Columbus, where they do bingo. There's a Walmart. The food was very good there.

I went to The Reserve at Citrus. It was wonderful. I loved it. And if my mother was at that point and I was at that point, it would be high on my list. Everyone was very friendly. The admission lady, I just loved her. She was so sweet. From my estimation and from what I felt in my heart, my mother has passed that. They didn't have hospital beds. My mom was in a hospital bed at night time. She can't get up during the night by herself and if she was in a room like they provided, there would not be enough assistance for her. Other than that, I loved it, but I think she was past what they provided. The residents seemed very happy. It was very clean. Everyone I spoke to, like the chef, was very willing to do as much as they could. It's an older building, but It's very well maintained. They were all busy doing something and they had a piano. They had a very nice outdoor thing, and they were having something later. They all seemed very active.

I went and the people were very caring, very kind. The director who took me on the tour was very knowledgeable and very helpful with information. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the room was adequate but a little small.

We visited. The assisted living overall was very nice. The memory care area was really depressing and it was very small. The staff was excellent, but it was very depressing for me. It didn't appeal to me at all. The food was excellent. For assisted living I would highly recommend it. The rooms were very pleasant. I thought they had a lot to do there, and the restaurant was excellent. They had music going on, and they had crafts when we visited.

It was a little bit older but still acceptable to us. The location was not as good as the others we saw becuase it sits right on the street next to traffic going by. The environment around it was not nearly as pretty and not as wooded but was relatively clean and neat.

This facility treats you as member of the family from the moment you first enter. They are very specific as to the care they can provide for the client, the cost, and what you are expectected to do to make the transition from home to the the facility as easy as possible. Following placement, it is never too much trouble to receive an update or drop in for a visit. These people are very professional, caring, and dedicated to the health and betterment of each and every client they encounter.

It has a little bit narrower halls, but it had a nice area where the people could go out, go for a walk, and would not be able to wander off. It was an area with a locked gate. My impression was it had very caring people. The supervisor had a pleasant personality, and she was very caring and interested in making sure that the people in her unit had the best care possible. The people were just really top-notch people. The apartments were not quite as new, but they were still good and nice. We went to their dining room, and it looked nice. The menu they posted and included in the brochures looked very good. They had a very nice variety of food. They had a wide variety of activities. They had some computer games, and it looked like it would be a lot of fun.

I liked it and where it is. It is close to where we live, so we will not be having a lot of time driving back and forth. The girl who gave the interview was very good, and the facility was clean and neat. I met a couple of the ladies who were there, and they said that they enjoy being there. The room looked sufficient.

During my visit, I thought it was very comfortable. I liked the facility. The staff was very friendly. They took us on a tour and answered all of our questions. They even provided information and told us what we needed to do. They let us look at their rooms. For someone that is used to a home, it was not spacious. But looking from a different angle, it was a decent size. We selected one room potentially because we thought we were moving my father right away. The only thing that I didn't like was the distance. It was a little far away. I thought that my father would be isolated although he could have his own world. It was really nice in totality. However, it was just too far for us to go there on a regular basis.

Every staff I saw was knowledgeable and had good professional ethics, but this place is not at the top of our list because it was not as uplifting as the others.

It was very nice. However, they did not meet the needs we have for my father-in-law. The staff was very nice and very pleasant from a sales standpoint. The rooms were very clean and very nice.

It is a very nice and a wonderful facility. It is very clean. They allowed her to keep her cat which is important to her. The staff is tremendous and they were very helpful and courteous. I was able to ask a lot of questions and they were able to provide the answers. I asked them to do a couple of things to make her feel comfortable and they did that immediately. She got a one room studio and it's quite nice. They had it freshly painted and restored some portions of the room. The've got activities for just about everything they want to do. They've got Bingo, knitting, crocheting, and games.

It is a very nice place. It is within two miles from where my mom was staying. She got a one-room studio and it is very nice and clean. They had it freshley painted and freshly re-floored before she moved in. The staff is tremendous. They are very helpful and courteous. I asked them to do a couple of things to make my mom more comfortable and they do them immediately. They also got quite a few activities that you could want, e.g., bingos, knitting and crocheting, games. I also like this place because they allowed my mom to keep her cat, which is important to her.

This community feels like a real home and I didn't realize what an obvious difference from other ALFs there would be. I figured they would all more or less be the same, but this staff was friendly, caring, interacting with all the residents who looked happy and relaxed and engaged. I'm ready to move in, too!!

It was very clean and very nice. They showed us a model room. Everyone had their little private room. But the type of structure is not my mother would enjoy at all. It was like you're in a hospital ward.

my mother has been at this fine facility since july 2012. i visit her at least once a week and have always found everything to be very good. my mother loves her room and is always telling me how good the food is and what a wonderful friendly staff they have. i felt awful having to put my mother in a home, but after her being here for 4 months and seeing how happy she is i know i made the right choice.

I found the staff left much to be desired. The room in which I had toured for my mother was beautiful as well as the outside grounds was clean. I like that the staff pretty much left the residents to their own devices but my worry is that they may be too distant from the relatives. My mother really liked the facility and I usually tend to go with what she feels since it is her life but as a daughter I felt the facility left much to be desired. However, in speaking with some of the current residents they seem to have no complaints about the facility.
