We toured RiverView Senior Resort. It was very pleasant. The dining room was magnificent. They have their own chef and their custom meals. You eat dinner, lunch, breakfast, or whatever, and you can look at the water. It was a very pleasant place to be. I wouldn't mind being there. The staff I met were polite and cordial. They have a nice veterans program. Anybody that is a veteran that resides there, their picture is framed on the wall. They cater to the residents. The staff was good. The building itself was very nice. For amenities and activities, they have shopping, they have games, there's a small pool and a weight room, and they also have physical therapy.

My initial reaction to seeing RiverView Senior Resort was that it was beautiful. It overlooks the river and the rooms were spacious enough. They were redoing the fifth floor with laminate, which was very important because my mother doesn't like rugs (so that was a perfect timing for me). The bathrooms were well-appointed for the handicapped, too.
Their dining hall was magnificent. It was overlooking the river as well. It was a restaurant service with waitresses and waiters waiting on people. I think they even had tablecloths. It was just lovely. They have a multitude of activities. There's a pool table, a theater, and a salon. If my mother wanted to join something, there would be a variety of activities that she can participate in, both within the facility or trips outside.

My grandparents have moved into RiverView Senior Resort. It's beautiful there. We called in and they scheduled the tour. We went there and they showed us all the rooms. It's on a river, which is nice so most of the rooms are looking out the river. They go fishing every Wednesday. They got a lot of activities that they do around that area. They go shopping at Ross and some days to Walmart, things of that nature. After that, they kind of schedule a doctor's visit for them to make sure they know what's going on and they could take care of them the right way. The price is a little too high, but we kind of bargained with them, like bring it down, which is nice for two people. Then, we signed a contract, gave them a check and they moved right in.
There's no shared room. Everybody got their own room, and my grandparents got their own living space, too. It's like a condo. The staff are slow though. There are a couple of things that were kind of iffy when they first moved in. They didn't give us a list of things that we kind of need to do ASAP. I'm just 27 years old trying to look out for my grandparents, so I've been helping them out through the whole process. And they act like I should know what I'm doing, which I don't. I told them, 'If there's a way that you all can help the new people coming in with a list, that will be great". That way I know what I'm doing, I know what I could do, what I need to get to you guys ASAP,' things of that nature. And they're like, 'We'll put the pictures up for you and make it feel like home,' and they still haven't done it yet. They always have a little bit of excuse here and there. But other than that, everything else is good. They have three meals a day and snacks. The nurses come right away when my grandparents click the button. It's pretty good. Overall, the experience is good. Sometimes, you just have to get onto them about something, but I get it, there's a couple of maintenance guys and a whole bunch of people. It's a wonderful location though. They keep the community clean and organized. The food is pretty good, too. My grandfather eats everything.

RiverView Senior Resort was too nice and it was very elegant, but it was a little more expensive than the others. It's on the river, and the views were spectacular. The facility was beautiful, the activities were great, and the staff seemed really nice. The rooms were nice too and were more suite style. The dining room was beautiful, and the menu looked good. The setting was very formal. I like a little more relaxed than that, but it was gorgeous. It's like a first class hotel, but it still was homey on the floors. They had a piano downstairs and a beautiful staircase. The person who took us around was very knowledgeable, but she wasn't sure of the answer to a few questions we had asked.

My mother is living in RiverView Senior Resort. We have had a very good experience with them. They take good care of my mom and have a lot of activities. They have very nice and clean rooms. The people are friendly. They have crafts where they make things, watercolor painting, gardening, movies, bingo, and Sunday services. They also have a lot of birthday parties and day trips if they're able to go. They offer three meals a day. They also have physical therapy, a theater area, game rooms, pool, and outside decks. It's a very nice place. The staff is very good, helpful, and friendly.

This is a beautiful facility. The outlook to the river is food for the soul, and the facility itself is really lovely and a pleasure to live in. The interactions with the staff has been a pleasure for us. Obviously everyone is different, and one connects better with some people than others. But the majority of the staff are caring and do whatever they can for the residents. The activities are varied and offer some really interesting and exciting things to do.
The community offers a 7 am to 7 pm dining room with specialty dishes offered during the breakfast, lunch and dinner specified hours, with another comprehensive menu available all day long. This is very unusual and lovely as most facilities only have specified mealtime hours. The only thing that could be improved upon is the ratio of caregivers and kitchen staff to residents, and I have been assured that this issue is currently being attended to and a priority for the management. We are very happy living here.

My family toured three memory care facilities in the area and we chose Riverview for my grandmother. The facility is just beautiful and inexpensive, compared to some other places. There are many activities for the residence to participate in. There is a beautiful water front dining room with great food that you can enjoy having meals at with your loved one. There are many places to sit and visit with your loved one, like a screened in patio or the beautiful pool area. There is also a beauty shop that my grandmother enjoys going to a couple times a month.
The rooms are nice, clean and if you get one on the water, the view is AMAZING!
ALL the staff is friendly and wonderful. They treat the residents like they are family and take very good care of them. It is very obvious that the well being and happiness of each resident is very important to all who work there. My grandmother is very happy at RiverView and has thrived since coming there in November.
Our family does not worry about her because we know that she is receiving the best care at RiverView Senior Resort.

I recently was considering this to be a new facility for my 83-year old mother. We made a point to go in without appearing TOO financially 'capable' as advised by our attorney, as these places tend to drain every penny of the senior. After the tour, and a couple of 'cracks' that I actually caught; my mother was, literally, demeaned and chastised...by the tour person..and their 'nurse'. We had someone with us from another business, who caught more of it than I did, but when it was pointed out to me, I was livid. Besides the room being a glorified, overpriced hotel room...the character of the people in charge is frankly..scary. This is supposed to be a place a family can rest assured their loved one is cared for...not judged. (I'd love to compare bank accounts. My husband and I are both in the movie business and it took everything I had not to leave our Imdb credit paged with these people). Anyway...if you are considering this place for your loved one..prepare to be judged and treated like a second rate citizen..unless you're dropped off in a limo...and get used to living in a closet.. The 'tour guide' even called me the day after our tour to 'talk me out' of moving my mother into this facility. I'm guessing the reason was we 'weren't good enough'. Well, as I stated...if only we'd compared bank accounts...;)

RiverView has great staff and beautiful scenery. It looks like a resort and is right on the river. The staff is always willing to answer questions and doing their jobs great. My mom is eating and gaining weight.

Riverview was beautifully maintained and had a very nice setting. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. The ratio of residents to staff was good. However, it was way too expensive.
