My father moved into Brookdale Spring Hill last month. We chose it because it was a nice size. The place is clean, and my dad likes it there. They have game nights, bocce, bingo, and just other stuff to get him out of his room and interact with the other residents. They seem to be very caring. When we toured the facility, they knew all the residents by name. Since my dad moved in there, he said that they've been really wonderful. They've been very attentive and kind.

I like Brookdale Spring Hill. It's my favorite right now. The woman who I was supposed to meet with was off that week. It was a good thing because I showed up unannounced. Nobody was planning anything. Two other women gave me the tour. They did sit with me and told me some of the things. They weren't in marketing, so they didn't know exactly what they should be doing, but they took me on a tour and I loved it. I loved the way that they got along with the residents there. Every person that we passed in the hall, said hello and it was by name. That was important. When I was leaving, they were just starting to serve lunch. I continued to talk to these women, but I wanted to observe how lunch was handled and how it went. There is nothing bad that I can say about the place. Everything was what I would want.
They showed me all over the facility and they took me into a couple of the empty rooms, then they have a couple of rooms set up like models. I met with the activities director. The rooms were great. I was really surprised because you could have two rooms, so you have your bedroom and then you have a separate sitting room with a little kitchenette. It was the first time I had seen that. It had a microwave and a refrigerator and that's all my neighbor needed. I was impressed with the rooms. Compared to the other facilities I've been at, they were all good-sized.
The dining area was kind of interesting. I asked if the people were assigned seating or do they sit wherever they want to for each meal. They said that they do have assigned seating, but seats can be moved. Like if somebody isn't comfortable at the table, they can move, but they try to keep them together. There are stronger bonds for them if they sit at the same place for the same meal. It's more of a family atmosphere then; people with the same likes are at this table. It was very nice. The wait staff was very friendly with them, too. Again, they didn't know who I was, so it's not like, "We had a visitor today coming in, let's be nice," because few places do that. I was more impressed with that than anything else because nobody knew I was coming.
The grounds were very clean and they had a courtyard where the doors were locked all the time, and people can go out there and sit and it's not like they need anybody with them because it's in the center of the building. It's open, but it's in the center of the building, so they can't leave, but they can go out any time they want, on their own free will.
Marketing did call me after the tour and did invite me and my neighbor to come to one of the activities that they were having. She said that when my neighbor's ready, that would be the way to get her to come in, come in for an activity or two before actually moving in, so she's a little more comfortable. They are inviting. Marketing just wasn't there the day that I went.
They had just finished an activity when I was there, but the activities director was still there. There was a man working on something, but he was working on it alone. People can come and work on things as they want, but they have places set up throughout where there are little reading nooks. If they want just a place to sit and read, there are books there and stuff. I don't think you can be bored there without even being led. She said there are always puzzles going on. There's nothing I'm going to complain about.

I toured Brookdale Spring Hill. It was nice. It was clean. The people were very nice. The staff who toured me was named Karen. She was super friendly, very informative, and welcoming. The rooms were very cute. They're small. I looked at a studio and a one-bedroom. I looked at the models, and they were very cute. I saw residents playing bingo. They have a hair salon. They have a small dining area, too. It's nice.

I toured Brookdale Spring Hill for my mom, and I wasn't impressed. The person I was supposed to meet for the tour (I believe her name was Karen) was not there. I ended up getting the manager on duty, which was the director of the kitchen. She had no idea what any of the prices were and was not sure about a lot of different things. I wasn't impressed with their facility at all.
The rooms were OK, but they were small. The place is older, but well-kept. The dining area seemed to be open and pleasant.
I was told of amenities. Again, the lady that was giving the tour was not very well versed in what was available and so forth. I did see one area that they set up for doing puzzles. Other than that, I didn't really see anything else.
I didn't interact with any of the staff, and the person who gave the tour was just not very informative.

The staff at Brookdale Spring Hill gave a good tour but there was no comparison. I saw very few staff; the person who assisted me was good. I didn't really like the facility. The rooms were small and the layout was bad. The overall experience I didn't like.

I liked Brookdale Spring Hill very much. It was very nice inside. The residents that were out in the hallway looked well-tended. They have a nice little garden that you can go sit out in, or a screened-in area that you can sit and look out on, which I loved. That was the place I wanted for my mother.
The staff was very nice and very accommodating. They worked with me when I tried to get my mother in there. It was very clean, and the dining area was nice, with little tables, and everything. The apartments had a kitchenette area, a nice-sized bathroom, and a small bedroom. It was very nice and I fell in love with the place.

I went to Brookdale Spring Hill. It was very nice, clean and basic. The people were very nice, and the residents were very well cared for. I saw a room, and I saw where they eat. The facility is not that big; it's only 40 rooms. The room is a basic one-bedroom apartment. The rooms themselves looked pretty small, but some people don't need that much room.

I like Brookdale Spring Hill a lot. The rooms were nice for my parents' needs, but the bedroom should be bigger. The staff was awesome, very professional, and very helpful. The residents were playing bingo at the time. There were really good people in there.

Brookdale was very clean and very nice, and the people were wonderful. It was very secure. The staff was wonderful and took good care of her. They have alert buttons, and they came right away when I accidentally pushed it. The grounds are very nice, and she likes the food; if she doesn’t, they give her what she wants.

My mother is in Brookdale Spring Hill. It is pretty good. We like it. She was in another facility before we moved her in this one, and this one is better. Brookdale is the only one that has security on their doors, and she never has to move to memory care. It really works out well with us. That's why I choose it, and I am really happy to do that. They treat her really well.

Brookdale Spring Hill has just been redone. It is a very nice facility in a quiet area, and the rooms are very nice. It is very pleasant there, and the staff is extremely nice. They have an exercise class, which my aunt does. She plays the organized games, and she participates in the activities there.

Brookdale Spring Hill was beautiful. The people seemed very friendly. They asked all the right questions and did an assessment. They had activities going on in the main room.

At Brookdale Spring Hill, the rooms were so small that it wasn't funny. There was no kitchenette. However, it was very clean. The facility was fairly new, but the rooms were so small. They had some entertainment, and it was so loud. I wouldn't want to live there. The food was like any other institution.

Brookdale Spring Hill was a very nice place. The rooms were a little small though. This place was really clean and very nice. The dining room and the food and everything was great. It was exceptionally clean and very well-kept. I felt that it would be really comfortable as compared to where my parents are now.

We were able to move my mother-in-law over to Brookdale Spring Hill. The place is like a five star hotel. It's beautiful. It's like a small apartment with a refrigerator and a bedroom. It's just that I don't think she likes the whole idea of being put out to pasture. The staff seems to be taking care of her very well. But in her mind, I don't think she is ready. I wasn't able to try the food, but it looked like it was professionally done. She said she liked it though. They got a bunch of stuff like bingo. The facility is beautiful, although not cheap. The place is immaculate and very clean. I don't have anything bad to say except that she doesn't think she is ready.

Right now my dad is in Brookdale Spring Hill (Formerly Sterling House of Spring Hill). The staff is very nice. I like everyone there, but they don't have that personal touch when it comes to the care. I was never given a list of the things that were needed when he moved in, and when I got here, we were scrambling for things. You need toilet paper and towels; you need everything. I have to talk to the director because no one makes his bed, no one is changing his sheets, and I don't know why. I would think that for someone who is in assisted living, who do you expect to do this stuff?
The main reason we chose this place is because their bathrooms are handicap accessible. The food is excellent. The people who cook the food are absolutely wonderful, and when they go into their dinners, the staff is the one that feeds them. They don't have a special serving staff, so they get to keep an eye on each resident, make sure they are there, see that they are eating, and so, in that respect, I like that. I see people playing card games, bingo, dominoes, and things like that, and I know they do go out. The cleanliness in the common areas is excellent; in the individual rooms, no.

I took a tour at Sterling House, and that was a matter of money. It was wonderful, the dining room and living space put together, you could sit right outside the dining room and private dining area, and it’s very nice. It was nicely decorated, the overall atmosphere seemed very attentive to the residents there. If they have a complaint there, they don’t have that feeling that they were ignored, I have never heard that there.
They have to interview the family and the client, they were very detailed. They want to make sure to the family that they will be there as well. They have sing-a-long, board games, an activity area that is centrally located, and trips.

The staff at Sterling House is very nice and friendly. I saw one of the respite's apartments and it seemed adequate for what it would be. It was fine. The dining room was right there as you came into the main hall. It had like an entry way and a sitting area, then the dining room was right off of that. It looks very nice. I didn't go in there to observe it any closer. I just saw it from that point. The place looks very secure.

I chose Sterling House because at the beginning, it was a good offer and she had the room by herself. It was within walking distance to me. Her accommodations were fine; it was a nice little room -- she loved it and I loved it. The place was good. What I didn't like about it was they were having problems with staffing. I found my mom's room disgusting; she was cleaning her own room. Two girls cannot take care of fifty people and the doors are always locked. Their price increased in one month. The food was okay, but mom complained that they have a lot of macaroni noodles served. As far as the nurse's care, they were fine and always greeted me. There was a TV room and a sitting room for entertainment and a guy comes to do karaoke.

This facility has a wonderful home like feel! I was welcomed the very moment I walked in. The staff was friendly and went out of there way to make me feel important. The other patients seemed happy and engaged with activities and just general laughter and smiles. I am choosing this home for my mother!

I did visit Sterling House of Spring Hill and everything was nice. The facility was well done and the staff was good. The people were nice too. They have drug store and they have a bus that takes you to your doctor. I like that I could have my animal there.

My Mom lived at Sterling House of Spring Hill for many years. The staff was always professional and took care of my moms needs. Mom was very happy there for many years. They made Mom a part of their family, and went above and beyond when mom began to fail. Thank you to the staff at Sterling House for helping our Family and Mom get through the difficult times at the end.

some staff members are great. However overall, they are terribly short staffed- you will wait at the door for almost 20 mins! Currently, they have a nurse their named Amber- not to be rude but this girl is clearly in the wrong business- rude to residents and family's- walks right by residents who need assistance even if bleeding! I really am disgusted a woman like this works in the place. Something needs to be done about her and the low numbers of people working at a time.

When I first saw the Assisted-Living Facility I immediately felt that there was nothing to worry about concerning my grandmother's happiness. It further reaffirmed my beliefs when I was greeted by the gracious staff. They were so nice and caring that I immediately felt at home. The assistant for my grandmother was so kind and caring. I was told by my grandmother that she felt so comfortable staying here that she didn't even feel like there was a transition. Before we brought her here she was struggling to live daily life at home. Now she looks happier than ever, and she has surprised us all by how well she is doing and how healthy she is. If I had the time to personally thank every person in that building I would, because they have impacted not only my grandmother's life, but also ours. I would personally recommend Sterling House of Spring Hills to anyone looking for an assisted living facility.

As I pulled into the parking lot of Sterling House ALF, I thought what a picturesque setting. I felt as though I had stepped through time into a country setting. I was amazed with the outside of the facility.
When I walked inside, I was met by a very pleasant staff member who was very willing to walk through the entire facility with me.
I noticed that the facility offers many amenities such as laundry, newspaper service, shopping excursions, outings to movies and excursions to local beaches, and the facility is very pet friendly.
The facility offers studio's and apartments with their private kitchens. If you don't want to eat in your own private apartment, then the residents can eat in the main dinning room or on special occassions can utilize the formal dinning room.
Since I arrived close to lunch time, I had the pleasure of treating my nose to wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. As luck would have it, I was invited to lunch with the staff and residents and I must say it was absolutely delicious.
All in all, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the building itself was very attractive and not drab, the residents were all very happy and the parking was adequate for staff, residents and visitors.

Of all the facilties in the area, Sterling house seemed to have the nicest layout of units and a caring and supportive staff. They appear to care about the residents on a one to one level to ensure they receive adequate care. They also work with the families to make sure that special dates like birthdays are remembered and share
