I appreciate the wonderful staff at Apollo Gardens. They were my piece of mind and provided around the clock care for my mother for over 13 years. The facility is clean, safe and well managed by the staff. Communication is priority for relatives and family and a personal interest is given to the resident. The experience was a blessing for my mother.

I am currently living at Apollo Gardens Retirement Residence. They need more activities here. I am quite happy with staying here, but it is quite small. The room is very basic plus we have very little activities, and those are some of the shortcomings here. The food is mediocre. It does not bother me because I don't have much appetite and I am nauseated with medication a lot of the time. They deliver my medication and get me dressed. The living atmosphere is mediocre. They underpay their staff, so you get some attitude from their staff because they're overworked and underpaid. Because of quarantine, we can't go out to do anything. They have no amenities here whatsoever; no exercise room, nothing. The dining area is adequate, but it is difficult with the virus because we have to do social distancing. Most of the food comes out of the can which is not very pleasing.

Apollo Gardens was nice and very clean. The dining area was smaller than what we would have liked, but it was very clean and nice. The rooms were spacious and very nice.

Apollo Gardens Retirement Residence looked OK. In order to get from the room to the dining area, Dad would have to go outside through a covered walkway, but I don’t want him to walk outside if it's raining. The rooms looked like hospital rooms with some cabinets and were very small and very crowded. The lady who assisted me was very nice, but I was not able to talk to anybody else. The dining area was clean but small. The kitchen was extremely tiny and I did not see the food preparation area. To me, it's not what I would call a retirement residence; it's like a nursing home.
