We went to see SunScape Daytona Beach. They were only open for about a week when we went, and it's an absolutely beautiful facility. They were new, but they didn't have the services that would fit my father's needs. At the time that we went, we were assessing the correct place to have my dad go. They only had 4 residents, had only been open for a week, and advised that they had 20 more coming in within the month. They had a personal chef who made us a super good cheesecake. We also saw one of the residents when she came down for dinner, and they were very attentive to her, which is understandable since they only had 4 residents. The rooms were beautiful. It's a brand-new facility, but it just didn't meet our dad's needs because of the level of care. They said that as they got more residents, they would get more staff. They said it was financially better for us to wait for them, which I understand. The staff there were very accommodating, very friendly, energetic, excited, and welcoming. It just didn't fit our dad's needs right now.

We went to Sunscape Daytona Beach. It was a beautiful facility and the staff was very nice, but our family lives too far away. My father wanted to be more centrally located, so the family would have an opportunity to visit him. It was a brand new facility. They had multiple courtyards, their rooms were very nice. The dining room was beautiful. It was very clean. They provided showering or help with dressing, but he doesn't need any of that. He just mainly needs socialization.
