My husband has been living in Brookwood for two months now. It’s a small facility of about 16 patients, which allows for one on one care. Some are ambulatory and some are bedridden. He has a private room and it’s a good size. They have crafts time, bingo, and an ice cream social a week ago. They have speech and physical therapy. They try to give the patients the food that they like and it’s always a balanced meal, home cooked, prepared in the kitchen. The people working there have been there for ten to thirteen years. They’re very caring, and my spouse has developed a good relationship with them. They took the patients to the bathroom every two hours, they bathe and shower them twice a week. They do their laundry.
