My mother has moved into Waterstone on High Ridge. She chose the community for the fact that it was halfway between my sister and myself, and she liked the facilities. It is brand new, and it is spotless. It's almost over a year old. The people are very nice and very friendly. She likes the food, which is important. For institutional food, it's very good. Personally, I like better quality, but that's me. In terms of amenities, they have everything. They have a gym, a pool, and classes all the time. They are constantly grabbing my mom to do classes. They are pushing her to do them, which is great because when she does them, she enjoys them. There is arts and crafts. They have cards. They also have two libraries and a little art gallery there. They do a lot of movies. They have a lot of lectures. They have a lot of cooking demonstrations, which she enjoys. They celebrate a lot, too. They have cocktail hours and parties. For holidays, they do special foods. She's enjoying it. The staff are wonderful. We looked a lot of places and a lot of them were very nice, but for some reason, my mom chose this one over the rest. She seems to be happy there. As long as she's happy, I'm happy.
