Deciding to change the living situation of a senior in your life is tremendous. For both the senior and their family.
Maplewood’s staff is there for both. You are greeted from day one as part of a big family. They are continually checking on your senior to make
sure they are engaging, having them interact with others they feel your senior will be compatible with.
And the family, they give you the tools to make the transition the best it could be understanding how difficult it is.
Every staff member has a smile on their face and you can sense the positive atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door.

Beautiful community and kind staff. My father is loved by everyone here and really adapted well to the change. It certainly wasn’t easy but we are grateful to all the staff at Maplewood

Maplewood at Orange has exceeded our families' expectations. The care and kindness they have shown my Mom and our family has been exceptional. Maplewood at Orange in my opinion is unlike any other community in the area. We feel peace of mind, with their 24 hour nursing. Their apartments are spacious and there are always activities going on. I would recommend Maplewood to anyone looking for the next step for a loved one.

Review of Maplewoods, Orange, CT.
The decision to move to a senior residency can be difficult. There are many things to consider when making that decision, but the most important consideration is staffing. Kind, knowledgeable and responsive staff are key to a successful experience. Maplewoods staff: housekeepers, maintenance, nurses, receptionists, aides, cooks, dining staff, care coordinators, and directors are skilled in making Maplewood residents feel comfortable and at home. There are many reasons for choosing Maplewoods of Orange for my mother, but the one that stands above the rest is the way she is treated. When I hear staff addressing my mom just as her grandchildren do, “Hi Mama”, I know Maplewoods is the place for her.

I looked at Maplewood at Orange, and it would have been a good choice, but they have no room available. They have three levels of care: assisted living, memory care, and intermediate level, where it's secured at night. It's weird that they do pricing per service, but I lean toward all-inclusive pricing. They try to do a farm to table option where they source more local ingredients.

Maplewood was exceptional, that would have been our top choice. It was a modern facility with different levels of care, which was important. The location was opportune for us and very elegant. They had a 24-hour on-site nurse and served three meals a day. They gave us a nice apple pie. The cost was astronomical.

I love Maplewood; I thought it was very friendly, modern, and a lot of sunlight. This was a beautiful place. Robyn was good. The food was very fresh and tasty. I would have thought it would be good having my parents eat there; I would have felt they would be in good hands. Nothing was too salty and it felt conscientiously prepared. The rooms were nice. They had an exercise room. They had a person that comes and helps and a nurse on call. They had a calendar of activities like they took the residents to trips like the casino and to the theater. It seemed great. If I could afford it, I would put my mom and dad there.

Maplewood at Orange was nice. No problems with the location, or the property itself, and the people there. It can be a very nice place to stay. The rooms were in good condition. Even though it was winter time, there were some very nice areas out there. It’s in a single community or all-in-one building type of structure.

My mother move to Maplewood at Orange last May of this year. I choose this facility because a good friend recommends it and when I go there, I am very impressed with people working there and the residents. It is a good fit for my mother with her health and her dementia. She has a studio apartment and it is a very good accommodation with enough space for her. The food tastes excellent. The only thing I have a little concern about is that they are not diet specific if people have certain need, but in general, I think it is healthy, organic food and it tastes delicious. They offer her to be able to be on the current neighborhood both for the memory loss clients as well as for other residents within the building. She has access to everything there. It is a very good thing for her and everything is working well. I think I will recommend them to anyone. It comes with a cost, but it is certainly the best place for elder people with memory loss that cannot be accommodated in their own home.
