We toured Sunrise of Claremont. The place was nice. It has an upstairs and downstairs.
The only thing was that the gentleman there didn't know I was coming. I don't know why. I just sat there for 15 minutes waiting for him. Then we went into a room and talked. The tour was nice. The rooms were nice. Everything was nice. He didn't really give me a brochure. He just gave me the paperwork.
In the dining room, everything looked clean and fine. I can't say anything bad. It was nice. There was a part upstairs where it was dirty, but he said they're re-carpeting it and ran out of carpet.

I went to visit Sunrise of Claremont. It was very nice, but it was just way too expensive. The room is nice. It's on a historical site. The people that started Pitzer College, their house is on the grounds. It's made out of rock, and it's cool. It's nice. The staff who gave me the tour was very good. Everything about it was wonderful. Their dining area is nice, and they have several different entrees. It looks nice, but I didn't taste any of it.

The location of Sunrise of Claremont was perfect for us. The grounds were very, very pretty and the staff seemed very friendly. The accommodations were nice, and the dining area was well lit and spacious. They had a beauty salon, games, outdoor facilities, shuttle services, and activities outside of the facility that they would take the residents to.

My father is at Sunrise of Claremont. They've got very warm and friendly staff members. It's a very clean facility. His room has everything he needs, and it's very clean and has a great view. He says the food is pretty good. Right now, the only activity is bingo, but it's very limited. They're still able to go and sit around and watch TV, and they're able to go outside, but that's pretty much it for now. He's just having a couple of problems in his room.

Sunrise of Claremont was very good, but I couldn't get into the facility based on the current restrictions. You're not allowed to go into the facility, so whatever conversation I had was basically in front of the front door. The exterior was very nice and nicely kept up. From the outside, it looked like a very nice facility. I talked to one of their representatives and she was extremely knowledgeable and gave me all the materials I asked for, which I passed on to my client. Without walking into the facility, it was really hard to make any type of judgment. I looked through the windows, but I could not get through the front door. I saw the rooms from the windows, but it's very hard to make any opinions from through a window. The shades were partly covered, but I saw pictures. I looked through the materials and gave it to my client. The staff was very nice and answered all my questions.

We went to Sunrise of Claremont. I liked the help, they're wonderful, they're kind, and the place is beautiful. It's a smaller place, I liked the setting, it's more country, and it's convenient for us. It's more laid back, too. They've got bus trips, and all kinds of stuff, we really liked it. They had a lovely dining facility.

Sunrise of Claremont was a good community. My client liked the facility. Everything was very well organized. They had a lot of caregivers and nurses. The people were very friendly, and we saw how they take care of people. The dining room was nice and the food was good. The room was small for them.

Sunrise of Claremont is clean. Part of it is old cobblestone that you would find in the historic buildings, so some of the construction is constrained, just because they try to keep that historic part of it. I didn't get as good of a feeling as far as them being connected to the occupants. It just seemed old to me. The person who was taking us on a tour was obviously filling in for the person who normally does it, so she didn't have anything organized for us as far as a pamphlet or a folder. She took us over to part of the original house. It was very quaint, it was old wood, and was definitely an old style that had been renovated, but it didn't seem bright and cheery. It seemed depressing to me. It needed some updating and some personal touches. The rooms were clean. They were just regular, nothing fancy. Some of the activities that they have seemed to be the normal things like playing games and social type activities. I didn't see any opportunity to go off the premises. The parking lot is extremely small, so it is hard to even visit.

I went to Sunrise Claremont for my dad. We did a walk through and looked at the grounds. We discussed a couple of scenarios with the director of marketing or sales. The place was clean. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered our questions. Activities included casual dining and TV. Nothing was organized. The dining area was nice.

The community of Sunrise of Claremont was a little richer, but the place was very nice. Their staff was very kind and very inviting. They wanted us to try out their food and invited us to a brunch; they just really want you to get a feel of how your family member is going to be living. We did not get to try their food because we didn't have time that day, but they offered twice. Just that they offered was very nice. They were having Happy Hour the day that we visited, and then they were going to watch a movie later. They were also telling me that they have a walking club, and they do exercises and movie nights. I did feel like it was its own community within a community.

Sunrise of Claremont was a great place in the top two on my list. The staff and people were great. There was nothing I did not like about the place.

The rooms were clean and nice, but Sunrise of Claremont was small. It’s a smaller residential area. They do have exercise room and activity room. I spoke to one lady. and they seemed very friendly there. They were going on an outing or somewhere when I visited, and they were very happy.

I visited Sunrise of Claremont and saw an apartment with one bedroom and a living room. It was furnished and beautiful, but it was on the second floor which is not my first choice. I happened to talk to a resident there who was very pleased with it except for the fact that they serve dinner at 5:00. I was not quite impressed with their activity programs. It didn’t seem very active.

I visited Sunrise of Claremont for my dad. It was very good. The memory care person really knew her stuff, and she was the one who toured us. We saw that they had an outdoor area that they could be in safely. They also have a resident dog, which I thought was great. My sister and I were not happy with the dinner table, which was like a family dinner table, and all the residents were at the same table.

I like Sunrise of Claremont because it was a smaller place, but I didn’t like the location of it being right next to the freeway. This place was a very nice place. I like everything about it. The staff was very friendly.

My husband has been in Sunrise of Claremont for three years now. The staff is excellent. The room is very nice, and the food seems to be very good. They have some activities and trips a few times a month. It is a memory care unit that he is in, so it is not a regular just assisted living. I am very comfortable with the security of this facility. This was the best thing for him with the price range I had.

Mom is now at Sunrise of Claremont. We are very pleased with the facility. The people are very friendly, helpful, and caring. We are very happy where she is. They have excellent food. The facility is very clean, cheerful, and home-like. They do offer many kinds of activities. One thing I like about this facility is that she is very well taken care of.

My mom really enjoys it at Sunrise because it's a small facility. It's not overwhelming and it's more like a home, not like a resort. Some of the places we visited, she says it is like living in a hotel, she wouldn't want to stay there so she really enjoys it at Sunrise. That's the type of person she is. The staff is wonderful and awesome. They call everyone by first name and they make it a point to know you. They're just great people, very friendly, very compassionate. The food is excellent. They have a menu and you will order off for every meal. They have activities every hour and a half.

The surroundings at Sunrise Claremont is nice. It's near the rest of the community, but it's not a real busy area. They value their seniors, go at great lengths to make them comfortable and cared for. They also have activities like sing some songs with community choir, table games, a social area. The staff is very nice, patient, and helpful.

Our first time visiting Sunrise went very well; we were impressed the first time we went. They specialize in dementia, and have a progressing scale level of care at the facility, ranging from very little assistance needed to hospice care. They provided many events and games for the residents every day, have clubs such as the walking club, bible group available for the residents to join in. Have family gatherings several times a week for the residents and their families to all get together. The level of care that they provide is wonderful, they take care of my Grandmother as if she was their own. Overall I have to say that we are very happy with our choice to have her live at Sunrise Assisted living, how close it is to where we live, the level of care they provide for each resident, the activities they have, the services they provide on a scale, simply makes it a great choice.
