I visited Evergreen Cottage. It was a group home with only six residents. It wasn’t a good fit for Mom and Dad. They did not have enough space for them, and I felt that they were a little bit low on staffing at night. However, the girl that was in charge of it was wonderful and very accommodating to me, but it was just not a good fit for Mom and Dad. I took a tour of the home, and it was very nice. There was an all-purpose room and living room/dining area combination. I thought they did a very good job there.

My dad is at Evergreen Cottage. I like the price and the care. The house is clean, very comfortable, cozy, and more homelike with good, homemade food. The rooms, bathroom, and shower facility are great. It has easy access and clean, nice tiles. If I had to be placed somewhere myself, for the price they charge I would absolutely go there. They have nice, attentive, and friendly staff. I could not have asked for more. They have games and communicate with the residents a lot.

My dad was at Evergreen just a few days before he passed away. Their care was fine. I don't have any complaints. It was nice because it was convenient for me because it was near my work. It's a board and care facility. It's a home and I like that better than the nursing home, hosptial feel. They had caregivers there 24/7, so that's what attracted me to it. They cooked the meals for him, changed him, cleaned him up, gave him baths and showers, and managed his medications.`
