I toured Atria Sunnyvale, and it was my favorite out of all the places I visited. The rooms were nice compared to other places. They have a courtyard where they can meet. They had a nice dining area and then they had a piano section. It was really interesting. I was sold on it. The staff was very nice, and very formative, and they were trying to accommodate us. The manager was wonderful. He was not pushy. He was very informative, and he was very understanding of the situation. I have a very good and very high opinion of him. One thing that I like about them is the staff's longevity. Most of them have been in their positions for several years and that was important.

I have given a one star review because we took the time to make an appointment for a tour and drove all the way there to be refused entry because of vaccine status. If you or your family members are not fully vaccinated, you/they will not be allowed to tour the facility. You/they will not be allowed to visit your loved one unless the visit is conducted outside. This, of course, would be impossible if you wanted to spend the last few days or hours of life with your loved one. I believe this is very good information to have BEFORE you make an appointment for a tour.

Atria Sunnyvale was clean. For an older, smaller property, they do a good job making it look homey. They have this one little courtyard inside and nice common sitting areas. There's also a sitting room, a little library, and a little game room. It's clean, neat, tidy, and way more affordable.

The facility is very well run. I chose it because of location, but I've been consistently impressed by every member of the staff. Even though there are still COVID restrictions in place, they have a weekly "rolling party" every Wednesday, where they roll a decorated cart down the halls and drop off a little snack (often theme based) at each apartment.

I thought Atria Sunnyvale was fantastic, but they could not get my Aunt in because they wanted to put her in memory care. We did not think she was quite ready for memory care. I visited their assisted living. They were very helpful and they even helped after the fact that she was not able to go into that facility. The facility was clean, tastefully decorated and safe looking. They have a salon. There are shopping centers close by and they are very close to El Camino Real, which is a main street. It is within walking distance to drug stores and restaurants.

The staff is always helpful and friendly, and has cared very well for my mom. We're moving out of state but staying with Atria at our new destination.

I went to Atria Sunnyvale. We signed all the paperwork, but my father's health declined. It was beautiful, friendly, helpful, kind, and just a wonderful place. They had little kitchenettes in between every five rooms so the residents could go and help themselves to coffee and fruits, there were large coolers stocked with fruits and food, healthy snacks, and things like muffins that were there all day. They had a beautiful library and a lot of sitting areas, like little living rooms, so when families visit they can see the beautiful little sitting areas. It was very open, light inside, the room we were putting dad in had its own separate entrance from the outside, it was very convenient, and he had his own little patio. They had a gameroom, an area for religious services, and a beautiful dining room. The value was very, very good.

My mom moved into Atria Sunnyvale. It's been excellent and surpassed any expectations I had in the beginning. They have a bridge club, a card club, bible studies, exercises, and bingo. They're constantly checking on her, and making sure that everything is safe and active. They serve three meals a day and the food is excellent. My mom is picky, but she hasn't had any complaints. Everybody has treated my mom like gold. We couldn’t ask for a nicer staff. The price is reasonable and competitive.

Atria Sunnyvale was an excellent place and I really liked it. It was smaller and more personal. I liked working with Debbie, she was great. The rooms looked very clean and they are able to provide a furnished room, but they didn't have the level of care that my dad needed. They have a big community room, a library, and lots of living rooms where the residents can watch TV or read books. The staff was very warm to each other and they seemed like one big family.

We really like Atria Sunnyvale. They were very professional, and they answered all our questions. They were very well organized and very clean. The residents seemed happier. The director was good. The location was better. It was across a park with a lake. It was near the health center which was less than 3 miles away. It was near all the Asian restaurant and grocery shopping. It was probably the best Atria that we visited. But they only have one-bedroom, one-bath units.

My mother-in-law was at Atria Sunnyvale. It was smaller. It was not as conveniently spread out; it was kind of more in a square. It was expensive compared to what she had. She has a much larger room where she is now, and $1500 less, but it’s in Northern California, and everything up there is a lot more expensive. With them, it wasn’t as comfortable, but they did their best.

Atria Sunnyvale complies with my uncle’s requirement of staying close to his neighborhood. The staff are very friendly. They explained everything and helped in the decision-making process. The facility has been remodeled. It’s not brand new, but it’s clean, and they’ve made upgrades to keep it within the state requirements.

Atria Sunnyvale was bright and cheerful. It was a nice open area; the residents could be inside or outside. The staff seemed very friendly. They had a big dining room upstairs which I felt was a little different. They have a printed calendar every month, and they have 7 or 8 activities every day. I was worried because they had a back door that had a desk that was not always staffed. I was told my father couldn’t be a wanderer, so that’s why I was concerned about having a door that was not monitored, and that’s why he did not go there. The deciding factor against Atria was the cost of $8,000 a month in the dementia care unit.

Atria Sunnyvale was very good. They were excellent with the way their rooms were set up. I was particularly interested in their memory care section, but they had limited space, and they seemed to be booked all the time. They had very clean, modern facility. They did a lot of renovation work in it. Their single studio bedrooms had nice closet spaces. They were well lit and were looking out at a garden area. They had gardens that the people could walk around. It was a restricted area, so they could not walk out on the street. The had little rooms in different places, like a library in one area, a sitting room to watch television, and a kitchen in their dining area. It was somewhat of a small population there with maybe 20 to 30 people. There was food and entertainment, they play games, and they had some caregivers that came in there to do shows. I would prefer going there, but there nothing was available.

They were friendly there at Atria Sunnyvale, and it looked like they have enough staff for the number of patients. The people that I have talked to seemed knowledgeable about the facility. It looked like they renovated the facility. It looks open inside and very inviting. There are single rooms, and each of them had a bathroom. They are not that big, but of an OK size. From the sheet that they gave me, it looks like they have a fair number of activities every day.

Atria is close to my place. The staff is OK and cheerful. You hire someone to go in and exercise with my mom every day. They don’t do everything. She has a larger room, she has room for her piano, bed, and dresser, and that seems to be enough. It’s not huge, but she is happy. She gained a bunch of weight there; the food is good enough. I think they probably do a great job on the food. They tried to get mom to participate; before she moved in the memory unit, she participated a lot. They have like chair exercise, mind games, and craft games, and the whole building totally has not quite 200 people. It’s a big place.

The Atria was much smaller than my parents expected it to be as far as the rooms go. They also thought it was very old looking. It wasn’t upgraded like the furnishings and so on. It wasn’t, by any means, bad, but it was old. We just did a quick walk through, but people were nice. I think they had cards and bingo. It seemed OK. I wasn’t disappointed in that. The main disappointment was the size of the rooms, and it was very old.

My parents did like the Atria Sunnyvale, but they just don't like the weather here. The residents seemed happy, and when I went there, they were getting ready to go on an excursion someplace. The apartments were nice; they were a small-size, but my parents don't need that much room. The dining area was very, very nice.

I love Sunnyvale, and that’s where I would take my mom if she would say yes. I like the location, and the place is very well-maintained. It was very nice and everybody looked happy there. The staff member named Patrick was very helpful, and he gave a very nice tour. It’s a great place, and I really like it.

I love the Atria Sunnyvale area because it’s right down the area from where I work. It’s very convenient. It’s a beautiful facility; very well-kept. The day I went, they had people in the music room watching a cooking demonstration and tryong samples of the food. I looked at the rooms. They’re just very nice rooms. You have to furnish them yourself and you decorate them, too. They sent me home with an apple pie that was still warm from the oven for dessert for the evening. It was excellent. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten my aunt here yet. She is on a waiting list. That’s one thing. I wish I could bring her out and have her there right now. I was very impressed with the staff, the appearance of the facility, and what they have to offer. It was our first choice.

The residents at Atria Sunnyvale looked like they were happy. We looked at different room options, and they were all very nice, but the smallest one was very small, and that would not be good for two people. We looked also one that had a small kitchenette, and we liked that very much. They have decorations for different events. They have meeting rooms and a library. Their dining room was very big and nice. They have bus and shopping trips. Overall, it was nice.

My mom is on the waiting list at Atria Sunnyvale. It's well organized and clean. I like its location. The guy I spoke with was very excellent. The room and the dining area are great. They have different activities, too. What I like the most is its homey feeling. It exceeds our expectations.

Location-wise, Atria Sunnyvale is very close to us. They have independent and assisted living. They also have memory care that was recently added. They had a lot of activities and everything was upbeat. The dining room was really nice. Their rooms were nice as well. Of course, we saw a model room, so that's a little different. It did have a lot of nice features to it. It didn't have any musty smell that some of the other places had. They did have food available all the time. They have a big selection of choices that are available from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Then they have breakfast, lunch and dinner. You also have a choice of fish, meat or vegetarian at each meal for both lunch and dinner. Every two weeks, the chef would have a cooking demonstration. I went to one of those and the food was very good. During my visit, the staff accommodated me very well. Everybody was very cheerful and helpful.

I personally don’t like Atria Sunnyvale. One of my main concerns is the room. It doesn’t seem that there is a healthy air quality because when I went in there the apartment it smells. When I walk around the corridors, there doesn’t seem to be fresh air.

The staff was excellent. The manager was very accommodating and helpful. They had excellent food and menu. They had studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, which were neat and tidy. You could bring your own personal things. Visitors could come in anytime as long as they would sign in. I thought it was an excellent facility and I would not hesitate to put my client or even my mom there. I would recommend it to others.

Atria Sunnyvale has more of an institutionalized feeling although the place is fine. The staff are friendly and the people there seemed happy. They have trips to go to the mall. They also have yoga and small concerts for the residents.

Atria at Sunnyvale is a nice facility but I didn't think it would be a good fit for my dad. They're really nice and everything was great. I'd recommend Atria to other people for sure.

The staff were very courteous, helpful and friendly. The accommodations were very clean and clearly cared for. All residents appeared to be happy and satisfied that they were there. We interacted with a few different residents during our monthly visits and each time they were grateful for our visit and commented about how much they enjoyed their stay there. The menu, complete with custom menu items and a gourmet chef, was one of the main selling points the company used, and that each resident commented upon. The rooms were spacious, the grounds were well taken care of, and the overall atmosphere was one of an apartment complex, rather than a hospital.

Atria creates a wonderful environment for their residents, while meeting their needs. My grandmother is happier and more engaged in life, since her move there. Her room is off an enclosed courtyard, which makes for a wonderful place to visit while my children have a place to run around. The staff is very friendly, and willing to help with any issues that may arise.

I went to see my aunt who is a resident at Atria Sunnyvale in March of this year. Although its an older building it was a very nie place. They were making cookies in the front area and it smelled great. Front desk person showed me to my aunts room because Im not from there and hadnt been to see her yet. The room, slthough small, was nice. My aunt said they ahad painted and carpeted her room for her 2 weeks before and she loved the place. I took her to lunch in the dining room and they had food that was fantastic. It was Sunday brunch and they had an omelet station. Not only did the chef come out but the administrator came out to see me to meet me. I wish Texas had places like this.
