I think Oakmont of Lodi was a beautiful spot so I put a deposit of $2,500 down there initially, which I still have yet to receive back. My mom though, when we were there, seemed very distracted by all of the noise because they had those high ceilings. It just appeared as though it wasn't suitable for her. It's beautiful, they have wonderful food, they have a lot of great activities, and they have all these great things. It was just too overwhelming for her. I just felt she needed to be in a more down-to-earth place. Bells and whistles are great and activities are great, but they can be distracting and uncomfortable for some people.

Oakmont of Lodi was brand new. It's lovely and appears to be very high class. Since they've only been open for three months, you didn't see much activity or many residents out and about. It appeared to me that they had a huge emphasis on the dining experience and the quality of food, which wasn't my main focus for my husband, but the person who gave the tour was very warm, knowledgeable, and made a follow up with me.
The rooms were gorgeous, too. They looked like a hotel. Since it's so new, again, I only saw maybe two people in their main activity room where they had done a lot of painting, and a couple more in the dining area. It could have been also the time I was there, that's why I didn't see too many people.
It's in a newly developed area in what used to be more or less farmland with mainly one large retail store and they provide transportation and trips to the residents.
