Merrill Gardens at Lafayette was very nice. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. I liked the community in terms of the living quarters, the accommodations, the amenities, and the services that they had. I liked the apartments. It was very well-furnished. They have more than enough kitchen space and it was comfortable with a little step-out patio. They had a nice variety and selection of meals. They were nutritious food and well-prepared. The staff in the dining area was very friendly. They had several open central community areas where people could gather and meet or play games. They had a workout room, a game room, and a tech center. They have gardens on the property, activities, transportation provided as well as secure parking. It was gorgeous. Christine was very accommodating. She continues to check in with me and she has suggested a couple of other services in the area. I would choose a place like this for myself.

I visited Merill Garden. They have many different sized rooms. The food was OK, and the place seemed very nice. The meal room was very nicely appointed and the staff was helpful.

Merrill Gardens at Lafayette was new, clean, and well-maintained. The person that assisted me during the tour was very nice. They have a beauty-parlor, exercise rooms, dining room, and they provide transportation.

I really like Merrill Gardens at Lafayette. They had a lot of activities. The dining area was like a restaurant and everything seemed very new. They also would be able to accommodate special diet. It was the most active community out of the ones I visited. It's very fun with nice music and all kinds of things going on there. The fact that they don't have the highest level of care for the wheelchair bound senior citizens is something to think about. They should have that in a place like that. Otherwise, I really liked it. That seemed like a very nice place.

My father is on a waiting list at Merrill Gardens. I was able to see everything firsthand, and it was the best I’ve ever seen. From what I saw, the staff was excellent. There are single and shared rooms with a mini wall in between and a separate bathroom. There are activities, like somebody was playing a guitar there and everybody was singing along. They’re very happy. I was very impressed.

Merrill Gardens is cheerful, bright, and seems to be a more active community. The décor, colors, and lighting are all very nice and bright. It seemed to be a friendly place with residents on the younger side. They have a movie room, library, open spaces, and a roof deck, which is very nice.

My visit at Merrill Gardens at Lafayette was really nice. However, I didn’t see as many staff people or they were not as easily identified. The memory care we went through was very nice. We saw the living quarters, which were like studios and quite nice and spacious. There were nice outdoor areas. The food was quite good, too.

I find a room for my mom at Merrill Gardens Lafayette. Normally, it is out of her price range, but they are having a special that brings it within her price range. It is brand new. It was built last November. It is beautiful. It is the best find, and it is close to me. The staff there is absolutely wonderful. They are so accommodating and nice. I have nothing but good things to say about Merrill Gardens. They have an activity coordinator that plans things all throughout the week and on the weekends, and they would even call the residents before an activity starts to see if they want to participate. They are really engaging, and they are really trying to keep people engaged. The food is excellent. They really pride themselves in their food. I eat there with her all the time. It is really good, and that is important.

Merrill Gardens at Lafayette was the best. It was clean, new, and lovely. The staff was friendly and professional. The dining room was a beautiful open space with dark furniture and lots of windows and light. I like the overall impression of professionalism.

I really liked Merrill Gardens. It was beautiful, but it was very expensive. It was a new facility. They had a very large eating area, a game area, and a bar. It was also a large and open facility. The memory care area was secure, but it felt homey and warm. The size of the rooms were very good, and they had nice sized windows. I had a really good feeling about it. They had nice menus and activities.

The overall atmosphere at Merrill Gardens is very pleasant and very inviting. The place that I was showed was a two bedroom. It is basically an apartment room with two beds. It is way too small for our needs. But the place is otherwise very nice. If the two small bedrooms would have met our needs, I thought I'd probably be a lot more interested, but right now, I couldn't care less. For the appearance, it is a five. However, it is way too small, and it didn't meet our needs. So I had no interest whatsoever when I saw the size of the apartment. Otherwise, it was a very nice place.

Merrill Gardens at Lafayette is a beautiful place, and its brand new, but they are just very expensive. What I also find is that a lot of these facilities do not have covered parking, and the rooms are small. It's a nice place, but I didn’t think the carpeting was in good taste. The manager is very good as well as the nurse is very good. They are highly intelligent and very professional.
