We are at San Joaquin Gardens. It is terrific. My stay with this place is fine. The staff is very friendly, very nice, and very helpful. Regarding activities, they have all sorts of things. I couldn't even begin to list them all. They have concerts, exercise classes, origami class, all sorts of card games, mahjong, and discussions. It is almost, "name-it-you-got-it." What I like best about San Joaquin Gardens is the friendliness. Everybody is so friendly and pleasant. We all look after each other. Somehow they have created a culture in which we are all part of the team. I am completely happy. This place has all the levels of care, and that is something we wanted.

The staff at San Joaquin Gardens were well versed in senior care. I felt that my relative was getting the best care possible. The rooms were clean and orderly, the activities offered were varied, and everyone who worked there appeared to have the residents best interests at heart. In one instance, my relative was getting very depressed and was choosing to isolate herself. Several of the nurses aids went out of their way every day to cheer her up and get her involved with her neighbors. My only negative comment is on their decor. At the time the facility was quite dated, but I thought they'd recently remodeled.

My mother has lived in 2 separate levels of housing. The staff is very loving and caring. Each resisdent is treated as if they are the staffs own Grandmother,Mother, Father or Grandfather. Best care facility in Fresno. :-)
