The staff at Mills Estate Villa were wonderful. They were attentive and caring and treated my father like family. They were very accommodating to the family's needs and made a point to get to know each of us. Our requests were attended to and there was good communication between Mills, our father's doctor, and the hospice team. We were very grateful for their kindness and caring toward Dad. They often went above and beyond to try to make him happy and as comfortable as possible. Two of them even attended his memorial service. We truly felt like family.

This is a thank you letter I wrote to the staff at Mills Estate Villa: June 18, 2021 Dear Staff of Mills Estate Villa, I am writing you this letter of appreciation for the skillful, caring, and consistent care you gave to my mother for almost 4 years. Living so far away in Montana, knowing that you were there keeping a watchful on my mother made my concerns for her well-being non-existent. From the kitchen help, to the caregivers, to reception, to administration, there was never a problem, whenever I called with a care or concern. The staff was most responsive and never made me feel like my calls were a bother. This was particularly the case during the last 5 weeks of my mother’s life, when she was not longer able to answer the phone. I would ask Ida, one of the Shift Supervisors (Yolanda, Ann, and Verna), or the Administrator, Delia to tell my mother that I had called and to “Tell her I love her.” As busy as I know these people were, it never seemed that they were too busy to help me keep in touch with my mom. A special thank you to Armando and other caregivers who gave such exemplary and respectful care to my mom. She could be challenging and never forgot that she had been the Director of Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center. I loved how Armando called her “Mama”. God bless all of you and the work you do which is God’s work. My mom originally became a resident of Mills Estate Villa for short term respite care following an accident. She truly enjoyed the other residents, staff, entertainment, morning exercise and the ability to have her hair done weekly. After time spent at Mills Estate Villa she decide to make it her permanent residence She enjoy being a part of their community. The staff was very easy to communicate with and always accessible in regards to my moms needs.

I first found out about Mills Estate and Burlingame Villas years ago when I wrote an article for a newspaper I used to work at. When my mother needed care, I have placed her in Mills Estate Villa for long-term stays and also for short-term respites over the years. The care is excellent and the staff are friendly. My mom loves the food, and especially the musical entertainers.

Very good service, extremely clean and organized, making doctor appointments, coordinates transportation with aids, assisting excellent, always keeping family informed.

Mills Estate Villa is where my mom lives. They provided food, entertainment, and activities -- all of the things that my family and myself liked better than in other places. Everything -- the food, the caring of the people, how they treat them -- was satisfactory. So far, I haven't found anything for them to improve on because I like everything about it.

We were very happy with Mills Estate Villa. It worked out okay with my father although he wasn't there very long because he passed away. His room was fine. They had activities. I know they had some singers came in and they had different shows. They were attentive to him. However, sometimes when he pressed the button, it seemed like it took a while for them to come to his room to check on him.

My great Grandmother stayed in the Mills Estate Villa throughout her elder years until she passed away at the age of 92. She was overall happy with the living conditions with Mills Estate, The food was prepared fresh daily on par with local restaurants. Her room was spacious with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and a spacious view overlooking the central courtyard. The overall cleanliness of Mills was good, the staff cleaned my great grandmother's room daily. The staff was also polite and courteous and never once had any trouble with them. The only complaint I have with Mills Estate Villa was the color they chose to accent my great grandmother's room which was dark green.
