The building is in poor condition but was clean. The library and dining area were not inviting at all. The lady at the front desk was very ill informed and even pronounced Alzheimer’s incorrectly. That was really bad. There was a nice lady that came up to the desk, to interject and she smelled like an ashtray, I couldn’t even stand close to her. I waited for someone to give me a tour, and after 10 minutes they gave me a folder. Nobody was available. I didn’t have an appointment so that was on me, but I wanted to get a view without them preparing things so I would get an actual look at the location. It felt like people were trying to help, but it was kind of a circus, of confusion.

Auburn Ravine Terrace was an older place, but it was quite nice. The rooms were well-maintained and clean. They had a garden area and they provide transportation for their residents. The staff was great, too.

I liked everything about Auburn Ravine Terrace. I liked the people, the atmosphere, and the building in general. They did offer a lot more than the other place I visited. The staff was excellent. The rooms were pretty good. It was a complete apartment. It had a complete kitchen, which I liked. They had trips outside the area. They had all kinds of activities.

I was impressed with Auburn Ravine programming and the staff as my tour guide was equally as friendly and helpful. The location of it didn’t fit right with mom. The other thing was Auburn Ravine did not have memory care staff, and since my mom is in an early stage of dementia so we don’t have to move her again in two years.
They have 1-bedroom and studio was good and it was equal to the other facility we are in. They have a dining area, a beauty shop, and they have a bus that would take them to places. They are Medicare facilities, and we were interested in the beginning that should she outlive her money, then she could stay there.

The facility is bright and clean, and there are always helpful staff around. The individual apartment where my friend lives is small, but plenty of space for her. I really like that each apartment has it's own kitchen, so the residents can choose if they feel up to preparing a meal or would rather eat in the communal dining room. The facility also offers bus transportation to local shops and events, which makes the residents feel more freedom than if they had to come up with their own way of getting around. All of the people I have met there, residents and staff seem happy and comfortable. My friend who lives there likes it and the only negative I can think of is that they did not allow her to bring her cat with her, although this may have been a personal choice rather than a facility rule, I'm not sure.
