We visited Hacienda Del Rey. We saw both assisted living and memory care facilities in the four separate buildings. The staff was very nice and very personable with all the residents. They knew them all by name. They have a lot of activities for them. They didn't have a lot of amenities.
Each building had its own great room, and the food was brought in. They all eat in their own building. They don't eat in a general dining hall. The chef was very, very good about trying to customize meals for each of the residents. I really like the chef.
The rooms were a little small with two residents per room. We did see some pets that were there. The great room had a dining table and stuff for the residents that are in that particular building. The staff was very personable and friendly.

My friend has been a resident of Hacienda Del Rey for about a month now. She is in a room with a roommate. They both have a little refrigerator. They have closets and a bathroom. Each building has its own kitchen and dining area, where they can have their meals or they can have their meals in their room. They clean. They have a beautician and a nail person available all the time. There is a doctor on staff, and nurses are there all the time. They have activities inside and outside. They have a courtyard. There are nine buildings in total, and each building has ten rooms. Right now, they have opened the place up. As long as you wear masks, and practice social distancing you can make an appointment to visit the residence. Just stop in at the office where they take your temperature and everything. They will give you a pass to visit a resident at the facility.
It is a very good lay out. There are nine buildings that circle a big courtyard, where they can have barbecues and picnics. Residents are also allowed to comeback to their neighborhood to visit for a day.

Hacienda Del Rey is a really good place and I think that the staff is doing a very good job taking care of my wife while she's getting treatment. It's clean, it's in a nice area, and it's close to my house. The people in the community are nice. I talked to her about the food. She said that there are some things she doesn't like, but most of the time it's pretty good. I like the people there. They have different levels of assistance and my wife is at the top level.

Hacienda Del Rey is really nice, it's a newer community and I really liked it. The staff who assisted me was really nice and very helpful, and went out of her way to give me the tour. They seemed to have nice facilities and I liked that they offer a lot of activities for seniors. Their rooms were all pretty nice and clean, I liked the fact that they had wood floors. That made it easy for wheelchairs to get around, especially because my mother has a wheelchair too. I was really enthusiastic about the place and wanted to move my mom there but my brother chose another place. The staff I talked to was one of the executive types, and she knew what she was doing. The place even looked almost brand-new.

Hacienda Del Rey was a very nice place, but I didn't like their style of living. There are little bedrooms, and you have an activity room for each building. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The place was practically new. Everyone I met was wonderful and very caring.

My father-in-law moved into Hacienda Del Rey, and so far, it's been good. The staff seemed nice. It looks clean and comfortable. You furnish the room, it's a good size, and it's nice. They have a restaurant style dining area. It has a nice atmosphere.

Hacienda Del Rey has different buildings with about nine occupants per building, so they broke it down into smaller communities. The facility itself is very nice. I looked at a studio apartment. They have activities. They have a cafeteria in each building. However, when I got there, there was no one there for the tour. It was very business there so I will never go back there. I showed up and they didn't tell anybody I was coming.

It is never an easy decision to place a loved one in an assisted living community. I took a great deal of time evaluating many choices in the west Phoenix area. Without a doubt Hacienda Del Rey not only met my expectations, they have exceeded them greatly. The residences are new, clean and gorgeous. The staff are beyond kind. Their caretakers are ALWAYS available and want to make your loved ones life worthwhile. The management staff are also above expectations. They have answered all of my questions from another state, allow me to check in on my mom anytime and give me wonderful unexpected updates. They have set up special excursions just to help my mom assimilate and to meet her exercise needs. I am truly grateful I found Hacienda and can't imagine my mom living anywhere else.

Everybody was very nice at Hacienda del Ray, and their residents seemed very happy. The rooms were older but clean and nice. Their staff members were very nice and knew what they were doing. When we were there, the residents were listening to someone playing the piano.

Hacienda Del Rey is right across the street from where I work. They’re a smaller, brand-new, very modern, and very clean community. They were not as personable and did not spend much time with me. They don’t have a dining room. THey have homes with a kitchen area and a small place where they eat. It wasn’t the right fit for my dad.

The Hacienda del Rey was a new property, very clean, and very nice. It has houses, and in each house was about 10 residents. It’s like a home where each one has her own room, and it enters into a common area where the staff cooks the meals. Then they have the living room and the dining room in the open. It looks very much like a modern home setup with the open concept, and the little bar area that has the stools with the island in the dining room. So, it’s kind of neat, and different. The only reason we did not go with them is that not only is it very modern, but it’s also furnished very modern. It will probably do really well in about 10 years when people, who are ready to move in, are more into that modern style. Mom’s more into the home feeling where it’s wood instead of chrome, and stuff like that. One house will have the gym, and if somebody wanted to go to the library then maybe the library was in another house. They’re escorted to the other places they want to go, but they had activities. There’s a craft room in one of the houses, so each one of the houses had a designated special room. They had different things going on in there. It just wasn’t what our mother liked the best.

Hacienda Del Rey had the place locked down for the safety of the residents because of their degree of mental capabilities, but it's more like a home environment. It's like a small apartment complex or a big house with 10 bedrooms. It had one large kitchen and one large living area where everybody gathered. They had alarms everywhere, and it was very well supervised. They had nurses and a staff that cooked fresh food for every meal. We had a very quick meeting. They were all shocked because we walked in the door and the alarm went off so loud that it startled everybody; it really startled the patients.

What I like about Hacienda Del Rey is that it's a place with houses that are 6000 square feet, and each house has 10 rooms in it. They have their own bedroom with a bathroom and you can get a shower if you want. They have a big common area where they eat and watch TV and have crafts. It's a small community which makes it nicer for my mother who has dementia, so she doesn't get lost going somewhere, and she would be able to interact with people but not too many. There are usually four caregivers there, which is a pretty good ratio. I was really happy with their setup. It's brand new and they're working on getting everybody trained.

This is a great place to live where everyone is so helpful and caring. Food is like home. They let me do my thing, and they have things for us to do.

I visited two other places and this is the best because of staff friendliness. The food is always presented well, tastes good, and they have home made desserts. Beautiful community amenities.
