My mother is in Avanti Living at Peoria. It's very good. They're very helpful. We're extremely happy. The facility is gorgeous. They have happy hour, and they do everything for her. There are daily activities, exercise classes, and there's an art room and a card room. You could put me there, and I'd be happy. It's nice. It is like walking into a lobby of a swanky hotel. There's a fireplace and a bar. It's nice and new. There's nothing I can say that they need to improve on. Communication is great. They're all great.

We looked at 5 Assisted Living communities in West Valley. Avanti was the only community my sister and i loved and could 100% trust. Here is why: 1. great food 2. friendly staff 3. clean and welcoming 4. large/bright room 5. affordable 6. happy residents 7. great activities We are so happy that our mom is taking care of and she is safe. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I moved my mother to Avanti because it was new and beautiful. I failed my mom by moving her into this facility. Advice - don't go after the new shiny penny in the town. I have zero confidence in Avanti management and experience in providing a quality of life to their residents. In this case, you don't get what you pay for. My mom pays a lot of money to live there more than my mortgage. They have had three administrators in the past six months. Two walked out, and one got fired. Three nurses walked out. Two Activity Directors walked out. The aides have walked out. Who is caring for the residents? Good question. Why is everyone walking out? The family members shouldn't be the ones to have to figure that out. If you don't want to lie awake at night regretting your decision, don't move your loved one into Avanti. Residents are bored to tears and not receiving care. Avanti should refund care costs to every resident that currently lives there. At this point, I would instead move my mom to a less expensive community where there is consistency in staff. She can receive the care she is paying for every month. Don't move your loved one into Avanti anything but headaches. Keep your loved one at home where you can trust they will receive the care they deserve.

I went to visit Avanti Senior Living in Peoria last December. It was a very nice facility, they had just recently opened, but I thought it was overkill, as far as the amenities they had. At least, that would have been appropriate for my mother. It was a lot more expensive than I thought she needed too. I only spoke to one staff member and she was okay. They have the usual things but it was a brand-new facility so everything was really fancy and that's why I think they were very expensive. The other thing too was that their layout, to me, was very complicated. I know my mom would get lost in it. I didn't like that for somebody who's 81 years old. It wasn't symmetrical, you go down a bunch of different halls and if you get to a dead-end, it would be difficult and confusing for her to get in there. It reminded me of a cave with a bunch of different tunnels so I didn't like that. I guess, I liked just the newness of it.

The facility and rooms are very nice. George, Krystal and Trish were excellent, compassionate and caring, but they have all resigned.. The current staff which is in the process of changing is horrible. There is very little communication and most of the staff is not caring. It takes days to get phone calls returned if at all. Problems are not immediately addressed. Don't put a loved one here, even if the place is new and looks good. Staff is very important.
