About This Community
Our home on Banff Lane is a beautifully decorated home with many active residents. Families of our residents really love getting together on holidays and sometimes just for fun. Many of the families will bring over food to help prepare big meals, and eat at the table with all our residents.
The caregivers at Banff really encourage a family atmosphere. Some of our caregivers will even accompany a family if they take their loved one out on a mini-vacation every so often. It’s wonderful to see what a tight-knit community has evolved in this home.
We really believe in healthy lifestyles as well. Our cooks have had training from several nutritionists. We also have a personal trainer (included in the monthly charge) who holds group workout sessions 5 days a week. Sometimes he will also take the residents on walks around the neighborhood, Karaoke sessions, or even fishing at a local park.
Field trips are also important. We try to take our residents on some kind of outing at least once a month. In the past we've taken our residents to movies, restaurants, airshows, Spring training games, boat trips, the Zoo and the State Fair. We're always trying to find new ideas.

Please know that Hal (owner/operator), Laura, Melanie n Elvis (caregivers) are outstanding. Attentive and responsive in all forms of communication. They care for our Aunt “D” in all ways!

One of my favorite Homes! I’ve been working with Paradise for parents for several years. Top of my list for referring seniors to. The quality of care Laura and the team provide is top notch. They treat every Resident there with such love and compassion. Truly grateful for homes like this

My sister and I moved mom to Paradise for Parents about 6 months ago from an independent living facility. We visited other houses in the area, but were immediately impressed by the caring and professional caregivers (thank you Laura and team) as well as the other residents at Paradise. At Paradise, the residents quickly become part of an extended family, and the resident's family become part of the Paradise community as well. Mom (who has moderate Alzheimer's), is more alert, active, and healthier then she's been in many years, thanks to the proactive interaction of the staff. From regular exercises for the residents (thank you Robert), and special occasions and holiday parties, to the staff, volunteers, and family members, residents are encouraged to participate in the joy of life once again! Did I mention the gourmet meals prepared by Melanie and others! For the caregiver team, I believe that their time spent with the residents is much more than a job. During my weekly visits with mom, I witness first hand their compassion, patience, understanding, and sincere caring for each resident. Thank you, Tom Feiden

This home took care of my father with love, knowledge, and respect when we needed it. Our experiences were all positive from the home to the staff. I'm so thankful for Paradise for Parents.

Paradise for parents is more than we hoped it would be for my father-in-law. We toured many homes and when we walked in we knew it was the best fit for him and us. We needed a home with a team to be able to help us fulfill what we can't for our father any longer. They provide exercise activities, wonderful meals, celebr ations, gatherings and always invite family and friends. Smiles and Hope are plentiful at Paradise for parents.

In a word...HOME. The staff and owner provide exemplary care to our mom. She wants for nothing. Daily she gets lots of one on one attention, nourishing home made meals, a variety of activities, exercise, fresh air and an abundance of love. The environment is such, that I feel as though this home was designed with her in mind. All residents benefit from the same level of care, and yet the personal touch is present, tailored to the individual. The home is meticulously maintained, the grounds are spacious and tidy, and that same attention is given to the residents personal spaces. I can't say enough about the wonderful environment, staff and how they encourage family involvement.

Hal, Laura, and the staff at this group home are amazing. They advocate for their residents, they are attentive to their every need, they go out of their way to make the residents comfortable and feel at home. They are wonderful with those who have dementia, they know how to work with dementia-related behaviors without just medicating them. I would place my loved one here without any hesitation!

The rooms are extremely clean, it as if the employees treat the residents as family. They go above and beyond to make it feel more of a home. Very impressed with the work Hal and Laura are doing.
Banff
The one thing all our friends and family mentioned was "this is the only assisted living home I've been in that doesn't smell". It is a very clean home and the staff are most considerate of the residents as well as the family members. They are also excellent cooks and party planners. I'm so thankful for the way they care for my husband. I never pass up a chance to recommend this facility.

Paradise for Parents is an absolutely amazing community. My grandmother lived in the Banff home for about 3 years. Over her time there, she was taken care of and felt at home there until the day she passed. The staff are always trying to find new activities for the residents to be involved in. Every one of the staff members are so involved that my family has developed wonderful relationships with these individuals. I cannot say enough good about Hal, Laura, Melanie, Miriam, Elvis, and everyone else who came in to care for these residents. Knowing our loved ones are in good hands make a hard process just a little easier.

Hal and his team are excellent! When touring homes for my dad, I got such a warm, welcoming feeling. All the residents are always smiling and happy. I feel so safe knowing that my dad is taken care of in the times I can't.

I visited and researched many facilities before I placed my sister. When I met with the manager and owner of A Paradise for Parents I stopped looking. I knew immediately this facility was above and beyond all the others! The staff is knowledgeable regarding care of the elderly, regardless of their condition and needs. The food is carefully and deliciously prepared! The daily care is personalized for the resident’s needs. The staff gives me regular updates on the progress of my sister. The home is well maintained with a wonderful and safe outside area. I can’t say enough about the wonderful staff and facility! I would recommend them to anyone!

This is truly a welcoming, well-kept, well-run facility. Laura and all of the other staff members go above and beyond for each and every resident. They are kind, patient, and consider the wants, needs, and unique personalities of every person in their care.
