I honestly thank God when I toured this place! Their receptionist was super kind and friendly. Their tour guide or admissions rep was so genuine and caring and it was really obvious how much she loved their patients. No matter who we passed by, staff or patient, everyone would greet us and patients and even their families would stop to tell me how great this place is. They offered that my dad and I stay for lunch to try their food and talk to other patients so that we can judge ourselves and we were really impressed. Not many places do that. When my dad finally moved in here, they staff has been so accommodating and detail oriented when it comes to the care of my father. I can finally sleep at night knowing he is very well cared for and in great hands.

I found Villa Maria Care Center for my friend. She wanted as much of her belongings and furniture in a place that had enough room, and Villa Maria provided her with 2 rooms and a bath. The staff is friendly, but they’re understaffed. She only gets a bath twice a week, and if they don’t have time, she gets it once a week. I don't think that’s appropriate.

Me and my sister went to Villa Maria Care Center. We had a relative who was there in their nursing home section several years ago and the place was not kept clean. The patients didn’t get good care. The first thing my sister noticed as we were walking down in their assisted living portion is that there is a really strong urine odor from the nursing home section. They offer quite a few activities. They have day trips and cards. They also have church services. They also have a painting room for people who want to paint. They actually offer quite a few activities. The place included three meals a day and you pay if you need extra care. They didn’t have any transportation.

This is a one story facility. They have studio, one and two bedroom with partial kitchens. All are handicapped equipped and have emergency lights.
Some apartments have private patios which are inside the central indoor courtyard.
The indoor decor is not fancy but nice and clean.
They do all 3 levels of care and have an attached LTC unit so residents
can stay within the faciity as LOC changes. They have two doctors in house and on call. They have an RN in the LTC unit. They provide rehab. There is an activities director and hairdresser. They provide transport to appointments within 10 miles.
They have a large indoor semi-formal dining room which doubles as an activities room. They have a beautiful chapel, several sitting areas with tvs, a beauty salon and barber shop. They have a small library.
They offer housekeeping services with personal and linens extra. There are laundry facilities.
They serve three meals a day restaurant style with a couple entree choices an alternative or soups and salads. There is a schedule for dining however between certain hours. The food is good.
They have a very active activity department. Probably the most active around. They have a full exercise program with yoga. They have bingo and other games daily. They have birthday parties, celebrations, ice cream socials, and entertainment. They transport to ahopping, malls, restaurants, and all sorts outside activities.
This a very nice facility and the staff is happy and caring. They have little turn over in staff and few openings ever. As you walk in the whole place has a very loving and spiritual draw.

I had visited Villa Maria Care Center a few months ago as I was looking for a decent place for my mother-in-law. Upon entering the facility, I was sightly disappointed with it's appearance. There were child-like murals on the walls, which, personally, I find to be a little inappropriate for an assisted living home. After all, these are grown adults, not children. Aside from the appearance, the staff seemed friendly enough and there was a "club house" for the seniors to get together. Though, I have seen on numerous occasions ambulances and cops at the facility more than what seems normal.
