We visited and liked the assisted living at Peachtree Village in Fort Smith. They were very caring and very helpful. We saw the apartments. The residents are able to have their own front door and a little bit of a yard, a deck in the back of their yard, or at their back door depending on where they are located. It's a good size, it wasn't real small. Bathrooms were a good size as well. It felt more like an apartment rather than living in a lockdown. The staff was excellent. The person that we spoke to, I believe her name was Amy, she was the administrator, and she was very nice and very helpful. She answered a lot of our questions. We even came back a second time that day to show our parents the room and she was just extremely helpful. The rooms were very nice. We looked at a two-bedroom and a one-bedroom, and they both were very nice. They had nice, laminated wood floors. You walk right into a living area, they had a bedroom at both sides, and both were a good size. They had a kitchen area but did not have a stove. They said you could have microwaves or maybe use a crockpot if you had something you wanted to cook. Bathroom was a good size and, of course, handicap accessible. So it was more of an apartment, not a tiny little room that's just in the four walls.

My mother and I have been very pleased with Peachtree. She really feels at home and enjoys the company of the other residents. The grounds and buildings are well maintained. According to my mother, their food is significantly better than even one of the much more costly facilities she used to live at. The apartments are well laid out; even her smaller single bedroom apartment has ample storage and plenty of room. She has a full kitchen and a large bathroom with a walk-in shower. The rates are quite favorable as well. They have a shuttle that takes residents to various stores and appointments throughout the week. My mom enjoys getting out of the house and going shopping with friends. The staff has been very supportive. My mother had a bad drinking habit and they helped her kick it and provide daily encouragement. Needless to say we're all really happy with the place and would recommend it to others.

The Peachtree Village assisted living facility was very helpful in granting my father a place to live while he needed assistance that wasn't available elsewhere. The staff were very helpful and great to work with, nobody better in my opinion. All of the facilities were top-notch and very, very clean, which makes a big difference in my eyes, it shows that the company cares about not only the patients, but their guests as well.
