I was very impressed with the Bella Vista people, I thought that was a very nice facility. They had respite care for 30 days, and that's exactly what I was looking for. I enjoyed the tour because the staff took me to the respite room that my dad would have been put in. The facility itself was very clean, very nice, and very beautiful. I was very impressed with the apartments, and the rooms that they had. All of the amenities were there. It's more like a little apartment style, almost like a handicapped hotel room. It's bigger than a hotel room, of course, because it had a full bathroom, full kitchen, and things like that. But it would be manageable for somebody that has limited ability to get around, it would have been very efficient for that. I like that everything was there at your beck and call. It was just right there handy, including the showers, the baths, and even the kitchen. The cabinets weren't high up so that you could reach things. I saw the main lobby and the area where they have some activities. That one was nice too; it is very wide open. They had very comfortable seating. It was almost like a living room type of area so that you feel more at home. That part was nice too, you would feel more at home there and not feel like you're in a hospital or something like that. It was very homey.

My mom was at Bella Vista for about 5 months. It was great, and we enjoyed it. They were wonderful to work with us even though my mom wasn't quite ready to be in an assisted living apartment. The facility is extremely nice. It's on a really quiet, little dead-end road. It's very well maintained. They have a maintenance man that lives on-site, so he's there to take care of everything. My mom's apartment was immaculately clean. She had a little living room area, a separate bedroom area with a nice closet, and then her bathroom was all handicap accessible. She ate all of her meals mostly in the dining room, but they had a little kitchenette. They had people checking on her regularly. The only thing I didn't like about it was that their emergency buttons were on the wall and were out of date. I felt like they should have buttons around their necks. From the first day I walked in, the manager of the place was extremely friendly and helpful. She was concerned about me as much as she was concerned about my mother and about getting me some help. Cindy, the head of their nursing and medication, worked with me to get my mother's prescriptions where they needed to be and worked with her Express Script program. When I was looking for what to do with my mom after she fell, Cindy gave me some suggestions and helped me out. So Brookfield Bella Vista was great, and it's very reasonably priced. My mom said the food was great. I saw they had yoga and bands come in and play in their dining room.

Bella Vista had a very nice setup. It was a little older and not quite as big, but still accommodating. It didn't have all the amenities such as the other places I've seen as far as being updated. They had a courtyard, which was smaller compared to the other facilities. The rooms were smaller too, and it felt more like a small hospital room than a small studio room. The washer and dryer facility was in a separate room. It was a more affordable place compared to others.

Bella Vista was very clean, rural, and very welcoming. The layout of the room was most convenient for wheelchair access. If it was just somebody that needed to have a walker, it seemed like it would be fine. When you open the door, there was a wall that was there for privacy for the residents, but it did hinder the movement of a wheelchair going in and out. They have a nice courtyard that was there. We saw their living area, the craft room, and the dining room space. They have trips, and they have artwork. They went and had a casino night. They try to get all the residents engaged. The staff who gave us the tour was very personable. The common areas were very clean, but the rooms were starting to look like they were needing an upgrade.

Bella Vista seems to be older and cheaper, and it didn't cost that much less than the one that we went to in Bentonville. It seemed like their apartments were smaller. It looked like everybody was OK. They seemed all nice and friendly. I haven't had much of a chance to look at all their stuff to check for anything else except for general reviews. I would say it was a good tour, and it was a lot shorter than the last one we had because the staff wasn't prepared. She was just showing us around, and then at the very end I asked for paperwork. It didn't quite seem as professional. It's not a terrible place, it's just average. It was clean, but it was kind of old. The carpet was indoor and outdoor carpet. The place seemed cheaper to me.

I lived at Brookfield Assisted Living and Memory Care (Bella Vista). The staff was mean and the food was awful. It had a nice courtyard, but I didn't participate in activities, and also there was COVID, so nobody could do anything anyway. The staff could learn the meaning of assisted, and that would help them improve. Don't move there. It feels like a prison and I've never been to prison, but that's how it feels like.

Bella Vista's assisted living was good, casual, and easy-going. The staff seemed very friendly and caring. The rooms weren’t huge but adequate. The place was very clean, nice, and positive.

Brookfield is very updated and beautiful location. It’s not on a busy highway if she were to wander off. The staff is amazing. They have a wide range of apartments from studio to 2 bedroom. It’s a small community like 30 residents. They have shuttle services. I would also give 5 star to Catherine from Caring.com.

The Brookfield at Highland Crossing was very nice, the director was really sweet, and it was a very caring community. The person who assisted me was very nice and accommodating. The people seemed to be happy, the place was clean, and it would be a place I'd put my parents. The rooms are nice and accommodating and run about 300 to 400 square feet. Some of them have stoves, and some don't.

Facility very nice, a little pricey. Food is like a middle school cafeteria, tater tots, corn dogs, hamburgers. Not a healthy diet for senior citizens. Staff not too concerned with residents complaints.

We have a very nice place in Brookfield Assisted Living. We really like the food. The staff is wonderful, and we don't have any complaints whatsoever. The common dining area is great and very cheerful with four people seated to a table or sometimes more. We have a little kitchenette, where I keep my computer, that is open to the living room and a bedroom and a bathroom. It is a very nice, roomy place to live with plenty of activities.

We moved my father-in-law to Brookfield Assisted Living last September. It is a wonderful place. We are pleased with their exceptional staff. They have really helped us out in getting Bob situated and worked with us on our needs with him. They’re absolutely wonderful with him. The meals are phenomenal, the apartment is beautiful, and he’s very comfortable. We couldn’t be any happier. The apartments are new, very clean, and really quite nice. The layout is wonderful. The bathroom is set up with handicap rails, so I don’t have to worry about him falling. He’s in a studio apartment that's laid out beautifully, so he can move and maneuver around without any worries. They have emergency pull cords in three different places in the apartment: one in the kitchen, one in the bathroom, and one in the bedroom. It’s phenomenal. They have activities all of the time. There’s a lady I met, Barbara, who’s wonderful. She does senior aerobics. I also know they do day trips to keep the residents active. It’s really wonderful. They’re great. I don't have any complaints at all. They were even willing to work with us at the time my father-in-law was in the hospital, so they helped us with that transition of getting him out of the hospital. They are absolutely wonderful with him. Their meals are phenomenal. My father-in-law is very comfortable in his beautiful, new, clean apartment. We couldn’t be any happier. I don’t think this facility is very old. It is really quite nice. If I have one suggestion to Brookfield Bella Vista, it’s to just keep doing what they’re doing because it works out great; it really does. I don't have any complaints at all, to be honest.

Brookfield was absolutely a fantastic place. The staff was outstanding. They were extremely patient, very engaged, and very involved. My aunt had a living room, a small kitchen, and a bedroom.
