I recently visited this center to see if it was appropriate for my grandfather. I should have called first, but I like to see what is happening in real time so I know how things are when no one 'from the outside' is watching. I was actually impressed. There was a small group playing cards at a table, a few reading, another group calling out trivia answers in a bigger area, the place smelled like cookies, and a small group of people were getting off of a van. My grandpa used to be a painter, so when I saw that there was an art room that was enough for me.
They let him have a free visit day to see if he liked it, and though grandpa was a bit reluctant at first, I had to pry him away from a coffee cup and a few other veterans at 3:00 to come home. They had been in deep discussion about some new military appointment at the White House. Grandpa started going to Milestones one day a week and is already up to two. There are a lot of activities offered, but grandpa always gets to choose what he wants to do. If he is having a quiet day, he can rest. If he is feeling good, he can paint or go for a walk. The social worker was really helpful in figuring out costs too. We love it here!

My Aunt and I visited this facility after speaking with
h the staff on the phone several times we decided to drop by to see what the floor plan for the facility
as well as just get a general
feel for the environment.
As soon as we entered the facility we were confronted by an employee who did not introduce herself nor have a badge on her person. We explained who we were and our reason for visiting. This individual was rude (continuously cutting/interupting our
conversation) and it was clear that we were not welcome. This was a very disappointing visit. We would not recommend this facility to anyone.
It was obvious that they were understaffed.
