Our mom has been attending BACS senior Alzheimer's program going on 4 years. In the beginning we were vey pleased with the staff and the directors. However, when new directors were appointed over the program things changed. We began to get complaints & negativity regarding our moms daily activities, mostly from directors. It's as if the new staff really don't want to deal with seniors who has Alzheimer's. We have been told that our mom is no longer suited for the program. Isn't that what BACS suppose to be about. I think there should be a board or group who makes decision on removal of participants from the program. Not the directors.

This review is for the Adult Day Care services. I recently entered my 85yo mother who has Alzheimer's in to this program and, to date, it has been a very good experience. The staff seems engaged and patient with those in their care and my mother runs to the door on the days she is scheduled to attend. This has totally changed her demeanor at home with both my father and her caregiver. It has provided her with structured activities and interaction with those who have similar challenges. I would definitely recommend this program to others.

I was referred to BACS with severe PTSD and depression. My case manager has missed appointments without calling, refused to take me to get groceries. She has hung up on me numerous times when I was in crisis. I have ran out of medications on two occasions now and having to sit in emergency rooms and saulto creek. This is ridiculous. It has compounded my mental illness with the stress of always worrying about my medications. Also, my case worker being so hostile and unreliable.as well as unprofessional talking about her personal life during the few visits she does show up for. If you are able to find help anywhere else, I recommend that you do so, they are unreliable and it has caused my depression to increase and my stability to decrease. Zero stars was not an option.
